Football team will dedicate Saturday's game to Jay Rogers

Jay's in all our hearts all the way from Texas.. Stories like these puts everything into perspective.

I say it's great to be a Tennessee vol!

Keep fighting Jay!! This story hits close to home..My lil brother had two heart transplants and he fought daily and succeeded time after time the doctors expectations...To Volnation, this is what is about folks..Nation united!! Way to go and Jay your in our hearts bro, and we are considered blood brothers...orange blood!! VFL! Go Vols, and as many have said, Win for Jay!:good!:

My heart breaks for Jay's Mom. As a mother, this is your worst nightmare. I can't even imagine what she and his Dad are going through. Praying for a miracle and knowing that God is either going to heal Jay, or give them peace that passes all understanding.

I had similar thoughts, I just hope they can find some solace in the love their special little man has inspired. However brief or (God-willing) long Jay's life may be, he has touched the lives of many in such a positive way. His love and memory will live on long after his body expires. Such a special, special young man. This story is still bringing tears to my eyes.

This is a great thread.

I had made it almost all the way through without crying until I read the post about Jay attending the Florida game, with two broken knees, and staying all the way till the end.

Remarkable

Does anyone have the real Kirk Herbstreit Twitter feed?

@KirkHerbstreit. He just retweeted a message about Jay. It is incredible to see our Vol community rally around this young man. Many prayers sent from my family to his. Carry the fight Jay!

What a true showing of strength and courage. Praying for this young man and his family! I know whom I have believed and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day. 2 Timothy 1:12

Prayers sent for Jay and his family. I'm so glad everyone is coming together for this young man in his time of need. I also want to thank all the members who have gotten our players, coaches, and others in touch with Jay. Times like these make me so proud to be a Tennessee Vol.

amazing how we get on here and bash each other ,but one thing is for sure.We know when a fellow Vol is hurting we all hurt. I'm very proud to be a Vol Tonight! God bless You Jay. I'm ordering your Book and I will pray for you and your family . Your story reminded me so much of a little girl that lived down the road from me. She was a sweet person that had a ruff life and I had a crush on her and got to take her out one night and we laughed all night. She died of cancer at age 17. Your story really brought back some pain....I'm praying for you little buddy!
