I have no idea who is actually the better coach but RS has a far better name than RZ. Zook has spend the last decade as a "losing" coach. RS failure isn't as damning and those failures of the two will shape public opinion IMO.

Shannon was better in both areas. Also the causality of a different situation with Shapiro and the Canes than Zook. Zook sucked at UF and Illinois.

Rooney rule involves interviewing minorities. That wasn't my question at all. Most university jobs require 3 applicants be interviewed and I believe that is the case for a lot of coaching openings. I would be surprised if UT doesn't have to do that with it being a state school.

Larry is stating that interviews are still on going and I don't think that means necessarily a deal isn't in place. Meaning interviews may be taking place to satisfy policy only.
