I'm actually encouraged he wants a longer term deal, indicating he'd like to stay for a few years.

Will be interesting to see how this meshes with Hart's desire to NOT give multi-year deals to assistants (which I agree with).

Long term deal: I'm sure he will want to coach and be at Tennessee for a very long time; it's more about the money if things go bad. IMO

Zook was at UT under Majors but this was in 91 when he was the DC for Florida.

So another coach send our info to him when he was the DC at FLA? If that is correct I don't see why that event should black ball him from here. IMO the other coach is the big villain here. I don't really think that is the right thing to do but it isn't something that stays with you for an entire career. Reminds me of stealing signs in baseball. Not a huge deal IMO.

I think so for the fact that he is one hell of a recruiter. but i dont think he would mesh well personality wise.

I don't think it does either, but from reading some posts on here, it's a big point of contention for some fans. I was a few years too young to have known anything about it then, so I have no idea how big a deal it was.

Zook would be a home run IMO.

Me too but it's RS from every direction. Recruits and current players already been told. Too much smoke to not be true. We just gotta wait til it's official on Monday
