****Football Scoop: Brohm likely gets new contract at Purdue, Vols pivot to Doeren

Doeren? There's not a chance in Hades that this wins the fanbase over. Brohm is at least an unknown commodity. Doeren is a proven mediocre commodity.

Whatever. I'm so over it, it's not even funny anymore. Hire whoever you want. I'll watch the product again when it deserves to be watched.

I looked up his name as to read about him. The first thing pops up he is actively looking for other jobs. Yeah so that doesn't scream desperate at all.

I am told that UT AD John Currie made an offer to Jeff Brohm that Brohm accepted. Currie then asked the chancellor to approve the offer — buyout included — and chancellor said no. So Currie went back to Brohm with lesser offer and Brohm said no. So here we are.

Wow...how soul crushing.

We are about one half-step away from officially being worse than we were before Johnny Majors.

You know, I recently posted that protesting would be a bad thing for our program. But you know what's much worse? Allowing those clowns in their ivory towers to run our football program into the ground. Go ahead and riot and I will support you 1000%.

Currie is just embarrassing himself and the University now. The boosters need to step in, put Blackburn in place and let him hire a coach. They can let Currie go unceremoniously in a few weeks after a new coach is hired.

This recruiting class is finished no matter what. Let’s just focus on getting Currie out now with an AD who isn’t in Haslam’s back pocket.

They should fire Davenport as well. She is clueless!

Tennessee has just created their own death sentence.

Screw it. Let's just turn this site into a Nashville Predators forum. Coach Lavi ain't going nowhere.

IF true, fire them both.

Hoke or Fulmer for a year and clean house. The house is condemned and falling apart. The sooner you tear it down, the sooner you will be warm and dry in a new one.

No Fulmer--ever! He already proved he could run the program into the ground once!

So now Tennessee will get someone who is LESSER than Brohm.

Not saying Brohm is bad or anything.......but where in the heck do you go from there.......if that deal is done..........then we can certainly stop saying......"well it can't get any worse."

Why the EFF is this incompetent fool making offers that the Chancellor won’t approve? When I hire somebody I know the salary that we can/will pay already. Business 101! This is the saddest excuse of an administration I’ve ever seen.

Unlike Gruden, Gundy and Brohm (and etc...), I think this deal gets done. The first three had job security and pretty lucrative contracts in place (or the ability to parlay a UT deal into job security and more money for Brohm). OK State has competitive facilities and Purdue is making a massive upgrade. And all three also have other good options if they sour on their current employers.

Doeren, on the other hand, is on shaky ground for the last two years. I'm pretty sure NC State's admin would be more than happy to help him pack. It is also a place where football is never going to be a priority. It has been awhile since I've been there but NC State's football facilities were closer to Duke or Wake Forest's than UNC or Clemson's.

I also can't think of a viable alternative to his current job. At one time, I would have thought he might be the leading candidate for Wisconsin if Chryst went to the NFL. I think that ship has sailed though.
