REPORTED POST-GAME.... JG's father James provided very damaging information on the Football program to the NCAA after his son was benched. As I said in another post earlier tonight, many will say "Proof or it did not happen." Fair enough, but since everyone seems to be so eager to "wish the young man good luck," after griping non-stop for two years about how poor he was at QB, is just not a good call right now. Let's see what tomorrow brings, but if daddy did this I say GOOD RIDDANCE!

Another facet of this whole mess is what if Pruitt was trying to juggle a really bad situation and that is why he kept JG in when the entire world could see that he is not an SEC caliber quarterback.

Did Coach Pruitt just throw his career away TRYING TO SAVE TENNESSEE FOOTBALL? As a recent vocal critic of CJP, having to eat crow if this thing has legs.... OH MY!

JG's dad has come out on Twitter and said this rumor is false FWIW.

There’s still no crow to eat even if true. So many places for a coach to get snared in a trap like this. Most are able to avoid it. If anything it just shows what a poor manager he is.

That report about JG’s dad has already been debunked and the tweet deleted. JG’s dad has also already taken to Twitter to call it out.

It’s just typical clickbait drama at a struggling program. Let’s please shut down the JG blame before it gets out of control. It’s nonsense and just not true.

Well, it got me going... and if it is untrue, I'll have another bowl of crow pudding. But it is no more far-fetched than many other things being said tonight. If wrong, I'll extend a sincere apology to the Guarantano family. But I won't be sorry that JG is not going to play for the Vols next year.

I think this was merged with a thread pointing people to Basilio discussing recent developments. If anybody is still listening do you think the guy who just called & told Brian to STFU was Pruitts dad ? WOW!

I would offer Pruitt a chance to resign based on allegations. Pay somewhere between $5-7 mil to walk. Same to assistants - about 50% of what they would be owed if terminated and allow them to resign or risk being terminated for cause for NO money!
