When you look at a first time head coach like Pruitt, do you think that person should be the most expensive staffs or one of the most in year 3 with his record? Of course not.

However, I'm talking about head coach salary. Given the BS we've had since 2010, I would literally go down the top coaches in the country to find one who'd take a 8-10 million dollar paycheck to come here before we go bargain bin diving.


Everyone talks about Matt Campbell, offer him double the ISU salary. Hell offer the guy he's coaching against right now, Lincoln Riley, 10 million to come here. Go after Kyle Whittingham and pay him double.


Tennessee doesn't "steal" coaches because no one takes them serious in a financial sense. The worst thing that can happen with the hypothetical 3 coaches above is they say no....

I have no idea why you are letting some beurocrats in the NCAA tell you what integrity is.

Maybe you can clue me in on what is immoral about selling autographs or getting a meal comped from a restaurant.

Every single major program in the country is cheating, and personally I don't see any problem with cheating stupid rules.

If the program can use this to can Pruitt with little to no collateral damage, good on them.

What can we do about it if Pruitt is cheating? We've been calling for him to be fired anyway. At least those of us with any sense. No one likes getting caught for cheating but if it gets Pruitt out with no buyout, at least that's a positive. We suck like we're on probation anyway.

Most likely scenario is both parties agree to a NDA and settlement IF there’s anything Pruitt did wrong. Unless they just have one hell of a smoking gun.

No one is embracing anything. But being embarrassed for 6 months or being called cheaters is WELL worth sending this clown packing.

Sorry, I don't think it's disappointing at all. I think us fans would prefer we fire his ass and not have NCAA issues. However, if we do get popped the silver lining is we don't have to pay him to be an analyst for Bama. Either way most fans want him fired.

Gators did it with McElwain. Casually mentioned players getting threats and the parents knew nothing about it. Gators pressured the AD to can McElwain and they did and got less on the buyout if I'm not mistaken. Gators saw a way out and took it.

Pruitt deserves to be fired based on his record alone. No one here was cheating. If this staff cheated to acquire the product they are putting on the field, they are the disappointment.

Bill O'Brien has to be a top candidate if we get NCAA issues. He managed two winning seasons after PSU got everything but the death penalty.

You can cheat to get highly ranked players and still completely suck at coaching/developing them.

O’Brien would be the best or second best coach in the east. I think the same would be said about Freeze if he were here.
