Tennessee may use any guilty verdict of player and recruiting infractions as cause to fire Pruitt if they choose they want to move on, but a coach or two going off and paying a player or two hardly results in a firing for the head coach if no direct link can be established. We see this every year.

Now if Tennessee thinks there is a chance they fire Pruitt "for cause" by this to avoid a massive buyout, they should 100% act on it if they think there's a pathway.

It isn't personal, it is all business,

Well, Graham wasn't at UT when EG and BM were recruited. So I would bet that he's out due to COVID. With him being the RB coach, it's plausible that EG is out due to COVID+ or contact tracing. His flip from Michigan never really seemed sketchy. I doubt BM is any part of the investigation. I think the current players and coaches that are out will be due to COVID. Investigation probably has more to do with Neidermeyer and some of his key recruits. There's been some smoke out there that he might be in some hot water concerning recruiting. That article really had no good reason to insinuate that the guys out today might somehow be involved in the investigation.

You gotta head guy from bama, recruiting in bama against bammers, and an Auburn program with boosters who could and would set a trap against a bammer or Vol chasing their "prize recruit". Oh, and then there's the Smart guy in GA who doesn't like you and is smarter than you

We've got one of the most expensive coaching staffs in the country. Nothing of note to show for it. We also let the NCAA dictate what we did with Pearl and then they let him land in Auburn. The days of letting concern about the NCAA should be over. They pander to Bama, UGA and UF and treat us like a red headed stepchild. Screw the NCAA. Freeze has paid his price. They have no say about us hiring him. Guarantee you that they'd not bat an eye if LSU or Auburn hired him, but if UT hires the man, we'll be targeted. Again, screw the NCAA.

I’m just going to say this IF a program is going to try to can a coach with cause, the timing of this is pretty in line with it. We got our early signees then UT compliance releases this. Generally a program wants it kept under the rug and releases those details at a different time than game day.

Kinda disappointed that Tennessee fans are so willing to embrace getting caught for cheating so UT can get rid of Pruitt.

I find it embarrassing that Tennessee is involved in this sort of thing. The very things that Vol fans hammer Alabama for.

Integrity should still mean something.
