Football Program Under Investigation [merged]

Geez, if you're gonna cheat, have the results to back it up. A 3-6 record isn't cheat or even investigation worthy. It's not like there's any kind of return on that "investment."

Meanwhile, the major violations being committed across college athletes that truly benefit programs will continue to occur without penalty.

Tennessee may get post game ban for a few seasons and a couple scholarships taken away. If they do, no coach will want to go somewhere with a postseason ban.

This would be solid reasons to go ahead and get Fulmer out the program a second time, ths mere occurrence of the investigation indicates doofaas isn't connected with what is going on and what can happen in major college athletics, particularly among desperate teams, undoing a horrible deal that Fulmer negotiated is a possibility, but it should undo Fulmers overstayed welcome, we need a businessperson at the helm, not a torn down football coach who ran his career in the ground more than a decade ago.

Probably good news honestly. Gives more of a reason to let Pruitt go, and I seriously doubt it'll turn into anything drastic
leverage to negotate his buyout down. 'Get out now coach with this small suitcase of cash, before you get a show cause and we kick you out with nothing.'

I know a lot of you guys are happy to hear this to an extent because it might be getting rid of Pruitt. But it would be hard to go from a coach that might get busted for cheating to a coach that already got busted for cheating in freeze. That's a tough sell.

If this is true there is zero chance Freeze gets hired for all those hoping he is the coach in waiting. No way we follow up a cheating staff with a previously busted cheating coach. Just saying.
It would definitely make it harder to hire Freeze. Who would be next? Napier? Can't try to get Chadwell at Coastal because he has some NCAA stuff from a previous school. Campbell probably wouldn't take the job. This investigation stuff might not be the good news some are hoping it is.

You are moving a little too fast based on the information which is currently publicly available about this (very little). It is something to keep an eye on this week. If Pruitt is fired? Then there is likely something to this.
