Its a bit apples and oranges but which one are you more impressed with as of 2007? Could it be our B ball program will find more success and quicker than our football program? The current trend points that way.

As said, not even close, basketball. I expected 11 wins from the football team and got 9, how could I be impressed with that?

I have not been a poster here long, but one thing that gets me going is people act as if our football program is the worst in america and are horrible to even watch. For one thing I am glad we are not a Duke, UNC, or Indiana where our BBall team is the only thing that wins. I dont care what anyone says I became a Vol fan because of being taken to Neyland Stadium when I was 8. Not going to the Arena to watch basketball. I love the basketball team dont get me wrong, but how about some of yall who think we are awful go get a degree and try to head coach a big time school. Let us see where we go then. Heck, you act as if Fulmer is the devil himself. Just to let you know Fulmer has kept our program at a level where I am happy with for the last 12 years. We could be winning 2 or 3 games a year and having 20,000 people at home games. I am just tired of hearing "fans" act as if we suck and will never compete

I love'em both. I really think Tennessee football will be great next season but to answer the question I think the basketball team has been more impressive. They couldn't have gotten a better coach than Bruce Pearl. I would not trade him for any single coach in college basketball including coach K. at Duke.

with the arrival of Pearl and the mens BB team turning around and the football program stale at this moment it's an easy choice.

Right now, the basketball team is giving the only glory of being a vol fan. We lose to every decent opponent in football.

I'd rather watch the team that has a chance in every game as opposed to our effortless football team who could care less about showing up for games.

On one side an energetic and exciting bunch of new players with an enthusiastic new coach and new blood pumping all through the program, or an old, tired, nonchalant football team? Easy decision for me.

Even if the football program had been ultra successful over the past two seasons, it still probably wouldn't be more impressive than what Pearl has pulled off here in the last two years.

cmon guys basketball is great and all, but we as Tennessee fans, live and die by Tennessee football. Fulmer will eventually be gone, the fans will remain great, and the program will be back to the glory days.

You caught me. Will the true Phil Fulmer please stand up.:wavey:

I find it funny that any positive statement made on the board about football is something from the devil. :naughty: I mean are you the guy that sits behind me and yells that Ainge needs to be benched after 1 incompletion? Be happy we are atleast winning cause it could be alot worse.
