Was asked about early Christmas presents by the parents today. I want a book, titled: "Football As a War Game: The Annotated Journals of Robert R. Neyland." I found one copy on Amazon, but it was over a thousand dollars, and had been up for a while. Does anyone know of a bookstore that sells this work?

I have been looking for it for years without any luck. I would love to know where to find one.

I checked it out of The University library as a grad student, don't think there are many copies, Kozar was responsible for it.

Oddly enough, the UK library has a copy but I think you're not allowed to sign it out. You have to read it in the library.

Just bought a copy directly from the publisher. $75.00 and all proceeds go to the Neyland Scholarship fund at UT.

This is the only person at the publisher that handles this book sale. Be patient, took several days for return phone call. Well worth the wait!

Just bought a brand new copy for $75+shipping. Excellent book.

I actually have one myself, a buddy of mine went to a game years back to sell them, he had BOXES of them! For some reason they shut him down that saturday, and came back to nashville with at least 20 of them, gave me one of them, and I have no idea what happened to the rest. Somebody had posted on here before about that book, so I asked what happened to them, he said he has no idea...Notre Dame fan, worthless!

Could the mods make this thread a sticky?

No Volunteer should have to pay amazon scalper type prices for this great book.

"Pay these prices and no more!" as y'all will get to hear at Neyland Stadium this Saturday. :)

I just called and bought several copies for some friends that had been coveting mine. Even got a discount for buying multiple copies.

The lady's name at ex. 270 is Kathy. She was very friendly and prompt.

i just called and bought one...lady was awesome to talk to and sold me one for 60 with shipping...said they are talking about lowering the price or issuing it in hard bound/paper back in future!!!! this edition is a sweet leather bound one!!!!

I'm checking it out later.

Would be a personel record if I'm done with christmas shopping in sept.
