Last year after the Vols had beaten Kentucky and Auburn ( Butch had never beaten a SEC west team) I was basking in the glow of the grand decision Fulmer had made in hiring J. Pruitt. My big worry was that this phenom would be first in line to succeed Mr Saban when he decided he had enough money and adulation. Since then , except for the Chatty game, things have eroded rapidly and embarrassingly. The losses have been plentiful and painful. Either of the north of 25 point blowout variety or the unforgivable Georgia State type. When we cant be competitive with MO and Vandy , something is rotten in the state of Volland . We had a bowl to play for and showed no fight at all for the last 2 games of 2018 and this year has been absolutely pathetic. The Vol Nation has endured about all the disappointment it can without coming unraveled and there is no end in sight. Maybe we should join the MAC or similar where we would be relevant again. This has gone on long enough. This would have been fixed at Auburn, Alabama or Florida by now. Why not here? Are they that much better than we are?

Bottom Line! We have been infiltrated by the enemy! Beating Auburn helped Bama, Kentucky was for $#its and giggles. He is trying to put us so deep in the toilet, we will have no chance of returning.

The only thing rotten is the talent level. Which offensive/defensive lineman can start for the above mentioned SEC teams? Linebackers? Secondary? QB? The talent level left by Butch was pathetic, and add a non-existent S&C program (which is a program killer) during 2016 and 2017 and you have a recipe for what you saw on the field today. We had young OL (Morris, Wright and Calbert ) guys starting and I thought for the most part they played OK. We also had freshmen LBs (Henry T and Crouch) starting/playing extensively. Now what really bothers me is the secondary play. Supposedly some talent is there but either the scheme is complicated or our guys just can't cover.

Also when you combine the above with pathetic QB play you are not going to win many games. I've watched SEC football today and I don't see any team that we can beat at this moment. Every team is tougher up front on both sides of the ball and have relatively competent QB and secondary play. Won't get into coaching...It is what it is. Need to keep recruiting and hitting the weight room

I am envious of the slobber knocker games I see on television including the Notre Dame vs Georgia game. It just looks like it's fun to be a fan and get your money's worth. To have a chance when you step on the field even if you can't pull them all out.

If I was CJP I think I'd resign.

Now..no you wouldn’t...you’d keep watching those automatic deposits in 6 figure form, and hang out as long as you can...until 7 figure sums are deposited to get rid of you.

THAT’S the world we live in now.

We were watching the Ok state/ Texas game earlier. I mentioned how weird it is to see accurate throws and catches.

Georgia looks like the more talented team while Notre Dame looks like the more disciplined better coached team.

Yes it is fun watch teams that look like they want play, not scared and coaches that put them in position to succeed...............

Yep
Continuing to regress the longer CJP coaches is all Butches fault.

Some of you boys need to move beyond your simple minded hatred of Jones and realize this team is worse now than ever..worse than when CJP took over. That is NOT anyones fault that isnt on this staff.
