By the way utvolpj, the original of the movie that gave you the avatar was infinitely better than the remake, don't you agree?

I should have pointed out that people were arguing with him. My mistake.

I was just kidding. I also never saw people arguing with him about it but might go look it up. I don't see how anyone who has watched a game this year could disagree

There are Gator fans that can't see reality just as there are Volsfans that are the same way.

Considering that they won back-to-back national titles, it's not very comparable to say our UT football fans who are Dookies come December.

no comparison...Where the Buffalo Roam is a classic. I like Depp, but he cant carry Bill Murray's jock.

I missed the original thread, but points allowed isn't the best measure of "defensive rank," just the easiest to compute. The number of posessions plays too big of a roll in that "ranking," and fast paced teams get and give more posessions.

IMHO, the best measure of defensive prowess is the number of points given up per posession. I don't know where to find the "rankings," but the average number of points your opponent scores each time they have the ball, and the corresponding stat for your offensive efficiency, tells you a lot more about your team while taking style out of the equation.

Ditto. Where the Buffalo Roam is one of my all time favorites. Gotta go get the DVD, now that we are talking about it. Why? Because it still hasn't gotten weird enough for me.

Excellent point. I don't know where such stas would be kept, either. I must say, however, that there is value to tracking PPG allowed, even for a running team, because sometimes, even when you run, you are going to have a bad shooting night. So, while I agree with your argument, I think you do have to keep the big picture in mind, as well.

You're finally getting it... 3 SEC losses every 2 out 3 years isn't what you were lead to believe the Urban Legend would bring to UF, is it? Finally, you're being as realistic about your program as you are about ours.
