Will Florida game plan be to try and line up and run right at UT defense, just like Florida did against Georgia last year?

Florida simply ran over Georgia last, let's hope the Vols defense can slow down the Gators running game.

I'very watched them some and they have a ton of team speed. I'd expect it to look more like the App state game than the VT game.

more than likely, they'll run early and often, work the short passing game with the tight ends and slot receivers like they usually do, and throw deep occasionally.

Their gameplan will be to run the ball a lot, use the short and quick passing game to help out the QB, and take a few deep shots to Callaway when it presents itself.

Pretty simple gameplan really. They will need to limit the mistakes by their QB and just let the defense eat.

They want to play keep away and try to win with defense. This will be a boring game unless we can find a way to make some explosive plays

I bet they play 75% run to pass. Their pass game is going to be short outs, Wr screens, etc...

....has 4 tackles, no tfls and no sacks in 3 games vs inferior competition. Don't quite see him being a one man wrecking crew Saturday. It's gonna take a full team effort, a much better full team effort than we've seen so far, to deal with Florida's offense Saturday.

Both teams are going to want to establish a running game, but I suspect both teams are going to also attempt to throw the ball a lot on 1st and 2nd downs because neither team is going to want to have to face too many 3rd and longs given the strength of the 2 DLs vs the issues both OLs seem to have.

On defense load the box and stop the run. Dobbs struggles against a quick defense. Takes away from his ability to scramble. On offense, they will look to establish the run. I think it is a low scoring game with the Gators winning 17-10.

Oh hell they gonna pass pass pass. And if 81 plays for them they goon throw it to him in triple coverage and he will catch it.

Yes, some forget that Florida destroyed Georgia last year with the running game and I see them trying to do the very same against UT:yes:

They will try to take advantage of our D's over pursuit. Everything will be about misdirection. Their D is going to challenge Hurd and Dobbs to run on them. They are going make Dobbs throw the ball to win. If Dobbs can throw the ball successfully, we win.

offensively, i gotta think that they're going to rely on a run game and be opportunistic in the passing game.

let's face it, if you're going to match up against our defense, the strength is the D line. we have a depleted LB and secondary, and there's going to be mis matches for the TE, Goolsby, and the WR, especially Callaway.

one thing we did fairly well last year the majority of the game was run blitz, and got them in passing situations. for hte most part this worked...until we went brain dead late???? ugh.

it allowed us to pass rush, and we were able to pressure grier... alot.

not that it'll be the exact same, but i think we have to stop the run first and foremost, and the let Shoop do what he does in passing situations. i expect us to blitz quite a bit, but i also expect it to be a lot of disguised coverages and blitz packages...in an effort to confuse AA. what was there, isn't.

defensively, they won't have to blitz, at least they won't feel like they have to. they will, but it will be situational.

they'll play man defense, if they can stop the run with 6-7 in the box, then it will force us in to obvious passing situations, and our guys will have to win 1 on 1's more times than not.

i think for both teams, 1st down offense is going to be extremely important. whoever is the most successful on 1st down will have a good chance to win the game.

i also expect both teams to have a few wrinkles for the other. there's just too many ?'s on both offenses that it looks like, on paper, to be a field position game decide by turnovers, field position and who will make the plays when they're there. neither team can afford to turn it over.
