Florida's Foley talks UT

I think it's relevant. Good write-up, Griff. There's no question Foley is the best AD in the league and his opinion is of great interest. It's been pretty obvious for awhile that Florida has nothing to worry about though. They just keep recruiting top talent and coaching them up. I hope we get to that level, but it's several years off at least.

Foley's blinders have most certainly contributed to his success.

Once Tebow leaves, the playing field will be even again. No way are any of their other QBs on their roster Tebow-esque.

Neither was Foley concerned about coach Urban Meyer's recent "dream job'' comments regarding Notre Dame's head coaching position.
"He's giving his life to the University of Florida,'' Foley said. "He bleeds orange and blue. His comments were taken way out of context.''

How? If it's your dream job then it's your dream job.... However money may make him rethink his dream.

Foley doesnt fool me. My only question is what the hell do the Germans in February have to do with anything?

"I share the same concerns as everybody; when this hit all our season tickets had been sold and all our boxes were gone,'' Foley said. "We'll know in February and March...it's a more germane question in February.

:furious3: Foley is the asswipe who whined to Mike Slive a couple years ago about UT fans rushing the court in exultation over the Vols knocking off the Florida team that was undefeated up until that game. Foley's bitching and moaning resulted in UT being fined $5000 by the SEC. He subsequently bitched about Vanderbilt fans rushing the floor after the Commodores knocked off Florida also. Vandy wound up getting fined $25000 by the SEC. Interestingly enough, not a whimper was heard from Foley when FSU fans rushed the floor after whipping his gators. Why would any Vol fan anywhere give a rat's ass about anything that comes from the mouth of the feculent

Why would anyone care what comes from the mouth of Foley? Because he's currently the top AD in the SEC, and perhaps the nation.

There's a reason for that -- he's on top of the game, as of now.

That's stretching it just alittle. He's a good one, but not the best. I'll give him Top 10.

That's cool. I'll go off of Florida being ranked as the top sports program in the SEC in all but one of Foley's years as the AD down there since 1992.
