Bet the backup is gonna go 2-5 20 Yards through the air then 20 Carries, 150 yards and 2 TD on the ground and UF beats us something like 17-14.

I don't think I'd be able to make it through that game ^

He's about as accurate as Dobbs with a bad shoulder, and less mobile than a healthy Del Rio.

Streak ends next week folks...Barnett will feast on Austin Appleby.

You sandbag like this every year.

That way if you lose, there is an excuse.

If you win, you have extra rub-ins

Appleby... he's not great. I haven't seen him run but the first time I saw del rio run I started laughing.

Defense is good though. North Texas offensive line was really really really bad. That said, defense allowed the fewest yards in school history in that game (53 total yards)

We will get -53

Austin Appleby graduated from Purdue and transferred to UF this year.

He had 19 TDs and 19 interceptions while at Purdue.

Completions 268 attempts 485 yards passing 2,777

Was 2-9 as a starter.

Not a world beater by any stretch.

Dep

Wow, great candidate for us to make a Heisman contender. This is going to look great as a College Gameday feature next year after the Gators start their National Championship run against the Vols with their 2-9 backup Quarterback. We will get to be a part of history.

Pretty simple actually ...

Take Michael Vick's Mobility
Take Peyton Manning's Mind
Take Tom Brady's arm
Take Joe Montana's cool

Meld all that together into someone about the size of Albert Haynesworth, then let him loose on UT next week and watch us squirt our pants. Then he'll be suspended the next week and end up disappearing somewhere into the Peace Corp or something.

That's all.

Spot on.

Hey Lawrence Wright and Law Gator. What's the scoop on Del Rio's backup? What can we expect.

Scouting report

He's not the worst QB Florida has but isn't the best. Has game experience from his time at Purdue. Is a senior. He isn't as consistent or good as Del Rio. His legs and arm are fresher than Del Rio. He has more active snaps at qb than any other Florida QB who isn't Del rio.

He is likely to look like a Heisman on saturday because he's a backup QB playing Tennessee.

Except we have Shoop. Suck it up. We gonna whoop Dey ass

We thought we did, then Franks completely stunk it up in the spring game and lost the 3rd string battle to a kid who wasn't good enough to start for his HS team.

I'd almost rather see Trask out there than Appleby next week.

If UT gets up by 10-14 early, go ahead and stick a fork in our offense.
 seen that movie.

and you think we'll score 14 on your D?

Ahhhh. I see. And. That's what I'm hoping for. Jump up 14. And hopefully UF is forced to throw.
deja vous all over again?

Austin Appleby is not a good QB.

Neither was Treon Harris. or Jeff Driskell.
