Here the Vols are once again facing a backup QB from Florida, this time a 5th yr grad that's 23 yrs old, 6'4" 240lb.

Appleby has considerable experience , playing in 17 games at Purdue, while starting 11 games. He will throw the ball down the field against UT, suggested coach Jim McElwain.

How many Florida games since the Spurrier years has a backup UF QB finished the game with a win? I kinda don't want to know, but it'd be a good reference. Almost like a parallel streak.

Appleby will not beat you with his legs and Florida has a poor O-Line themselves. We should be able to get a strong pass rush on them.

Our O line will play very well on Saturday.

You are certainly an optimist. Many would call it simply wishful thinking, like winning a lottery. Chances O line will play well have about the same odds IMO.
Their QB certainly will not be intimidated will he? Certainly no kid, NFL age

I believe this team plays to the competition. He may be older, but he's never played in an environment like the one he'll be in Saturday, nothing close to it.

With less of FL QB threat, you gotta know we're gonna have same game plan as LY...conservative, and hope D creates field position and turnovers in hostile environment. Which, MAY be the way to go to keep Dobbs from taking sacks and negative yardage. Part of me wishes we'd play like we are behind like against UGA, and just open it up. On the other hand, a sure way to lose this game is to turn the ball over multiple times. Ball security seems to be an issue TY, and Dobbs super intelligence doesn't seem to be helping him this year on when not to make an ill advised pass.

Didn't Weurful come in off the bench and clobber us?

edit: I had no idea that Cam Newton played against us as a UF QB.
