I don't think the Gators showed anything at all on Saturday and I will stop just short of saying they wanted to be vanilla and look the way they did. I am sure they will tighten up and we will see a ton more after the A&M game. I hope they get the heck beat out of them and come into the UT game with a limp from the previous week. Looking at threads saying they are a "cupcake" is just stupid. Come on Vols fans you make us all look stupid when you post that mess. With that said, it should be more of a game this year than in the last few. So Go Vols and hopefully the world of college football is still overlooking us come gametime.

Yeah, but they have to go on the road to A&M this weekend, and are going to have to show a lot if they want to have a chance of winning.

I say 24-17 Aggies...

I'm sure they were really thinking about holding back when they were barely up at half time on a $hitty team like BG..... FL is not a very good team right now...

This is not a great Florida team. We should beat them by two td's. Having said that, Florida has played us tough and had our number for a while now. We win this one in my book the same way we beat state... By harassing the qb with our defense and making a couple explosive plays with our offense.

Nah, NC State would beat Florida by two touchdowns. They blow chunks...

They also blow chucks but that is a story for another day

I hate UF and am always weary when we play them. That being said, I have already started talking smack with a few of my Freshmen students who claim to be Gator fans.

I hope we absolutely annihilate those clowns.

I hope the Texas A&M/Florida game goes into 6 overtimes with FL squeaking out the win. Florida comes limping into Knoxville still ranked.

Or...

We beat Florida at their best.

UT is going to beat UF much worse than they beat NCSU. The D is going to make Driskel wish he was on the bench, they won't be able to score many points at all. And our explosive O is going to shred their D all night long. CANNOT WAIT FOR THIS GAME!

Their still the gators. Anyone who thinks it is a "for sure" win is nuts. They sucked last year and they sucked against BG. But it was their first game. Lets at least see what they do against the aggies. They are a good enough team that the gators can't play a lackluster game to keep from showing to much offense. But "christ almighty" it was floridas first game and everyone knows they have issues at the qb position. How long do you thnk that is going to last? Their not scrubbs.

I watched most of that game, and I think fla showed more than what they wanted to against bg. They could barely move the ball on offense, and bg was wearing that D out. Their QB struggled throwing the ball, and their rb had an ok game, but it was against bg. I dont think they showed everything, but bg could have easily won that game if not for a couple missed fieldgoals, and missed opportunities in the redzone. They will still come to Knoxville and play us tough as always. We will see what they are really made of saturday. I have a feeling that tam puts a beatdown on them for their sec debut. Def would not get a big head and start calling them a cupcake team though.

We will see what the Gators are about this week. They'll play a decent program that regularly signs a Rivals Top 20ish class whose players will be highly motivated to win their conference opener. Kyle Field will be packed (they've squeezed of 90k in there before and it'll probably happen again this weekend) and it'll be loud. We all know that UF has players and no matter how poorly implemented and/or executed thier scheme might be, if the right guy finds himself in space with the ball they can score on anyone.

Until we beat UF, I am goign to be leery of them. This is our best chance in the past 4-5 years and we should be favored to win. Crowd will defnitely be rokcing for the first time in a few years.

my best case scenario is that their starting QB plays so bad that he gets yanked in the middle of the game. The replacement plays bad but just good enough to create a controversy before UT

They could barely move the ball on offense, and bg was wearing that D out.

I think much of the credit for that goes to the offense the BG head coach runs :whistling:

Some of the fan base may be taking Florida lightly. I guarantee you the coaching staff is looking at Florida as a tough game.

Florida is a better team than what we saw on the field against BG. I think we have the best chance to beat them than we have had in several years but they are not a cupcake. The gators will arrive in Knoxville ready to play ball.

With that said a 42-17 TN win would look good.

I certainly feel we have the best chance to beat them this year, and feel we will. However, we're 0 - 7 for the past seven years. If we blow them out, I'll be very, very happy, but we still need to prove it on the field first. Saying they're a cupcake just isn't the way to approach this game. I'm sure CDD will give FL the upmost credit to the team so they will go in knowing they have to attack, attack, attack. I really think this team has matured and has leaders on both sides of the ball that will keep everyone focused each and every game.
