cannot let this guy run. That’s a game changer. Make him throw it. Florida’s running game is good so we will have to stop it. They will try to play keep away from our offense and we must get the stops and possessions. Hopefully the crowd pulls us through. Get loud Neyland…

To me, the defense has to maintain their gaps, and pressure him just like they did to the Pitt quarterbacks. Hit him, often, and make it hurt. not roughing hurt, but make him feel it. From the first snap to the last, be in his face all afternoon.

Anyone else notice he likes to throw to his right more than his left. He also has 2 receivers that he looks for the most...

Pretty sure coach Banks and his guys will have our guys prepared for his tendencies. Hopefully we’ll be able to give him the allusion of open receivers at the snap and get a few picks.

no its not. BVS is hitting some of yall hard. This team is going to have confidence they haven't had in a long time going into Neyland Saturday and This is Florida's first road game with an already shaky QB.
The team may have the confidence, but the fans are have lived this longer than those players have been alive have seen this all too often. I can't blame the trepidation of so many. Tennessee has lost games to Florida where John Brantley, Felipe Franks, Jeff Driskell, Tyler Murphy, and Treon Harris played QB for the Gators. To those fans, this feels like the game where Richardson comes in and has the game of his life if for no other reason than because it's Tennessee-Florida.

I truly believe we have all the makings of a team that should skull-drag Florida, but there is always a part of me that thinks in the very deepest recesses of my mind, that they will always find a way to win in the same way Kentucky fans have felt about Tennessee many times over the last 15 years.

I fully expect to get Florida’s A game. I expect even an average game by the Vols wins by 12 vs Florida’s A game. Anything else I’ve got to see to believe.

It’s time to stop living in the past and embrace the bright future in store for the Vols and the fans of the Vols.

Apparently he has a leg injury. Seemed to be limping most of the game vs USF. If that’s true we should win comfortably if we take away his running

I woke up this morning and chose optimism. “It’s Morning on the Hill”

Anyone else concerned we may not see Richardson? I don’t know their backup depth, but if I’m florida, I’m not sure that he could be worse.

Yup, it’s ingrained in those of us who have seen the same story play out year after year. I am as confident this year as I’ve been in a long time, but I won’t start 100% believing until we can beat Florida on a consistent basis.

I know one thing after watching Freak's posting of the video replay of the Akron game. And based on previous games, especially the Pittsburgh one. Our punter better darn well speed up his punts. Too many close call blocks. If he does what he did with Akron, Florida speed will make him pay, and pay big time. Unless this is remedied FAST, we lose to Florida again.

Their actual back up is out for a few more weeks after he had surgery on his hand. They currently have only their 3rd and 4th string guys left if Richardson was unable to go.

I'm fully aware that we need to bring our A-game next week, but this ain't Dools', Lyle's or Beldar's team anymore. Spy, gap discipline, pressure, and HIT HIM. LOL how ESPN was ready to hand Richardson the Heisman during the Utah game...and he's still touted as a "contender." Get real. I can't wait to see how GameDay is gonna be all up on his jock.

Exactly. We should’ve beaten them every game during the Muschamp years and most of McElwains tenure as well. But we didn’t. Until we start expecting to beat Florida rather than hoping I’m not getting too excited. In theory we should win by at least 2 scores, but Florida will bring their A-game I guarantee it.
