Florida Week is Upon Us

Florida week used to be my favorite of the year. Then somewhere around 2008 that ceased to be the case.

Now I dread it and fully expect a loss. Which is why maybe we'll finally win this year.

I figured as much. I've been to South Carolina and The Swamp and that's pretty much the extent of our travels to other stadiums.

I can ignore idiots whether they wear blue or orange. Im very excited to experience the Neyland atmosphere. Last year in Gainesville it was loud, but I look for this to be much louder.

Just the wife and I coming to the game. You'll know us by the only two people in blue in the student section lol.

I don't take things personal, its a sport. I didn't go to the University of Florida and I certainly am not on the team so I don't get "butt hurt" like many other Gators fans.

Been a dream to watch this game in K-town. I hope things go well. I don't know what to expect with Appleby in the pocket and last I heard Callaway is a maybe.

Neither of these two teams have looked stellar thus far, just hope they play like we know they can since its THIS game and not UK or App State.

Thanks for all the feedback and I'll see you Saturday

I love the rivalry more than any other one in football. I was in The Swamp last year and thought ya'll had it. I can take a good ribbing like anybody else and like good hearted jabs - just aint looking for a fight.

Unfortunately for us (we had tickets given to us) we are sitting in section F. Row 55 or better, I think.

We live in Tennessee and some of our best friends are VFL, lol. We are excited to see how things play out this year.

Not that it helps, but we pull for UT when they aren't playing UF lol
The only issue with being over there is that you will be very close to the Student section. With the intoxication level you may hear a few comments but that should be about the brunt of it. Enjoy Neyland. It's a sight to behold.

I've always heard that LSU and Florida were some of the worst stadiums to visit. Awful for opposing fans. Neyland will be hostile but it will be in good fun. We don't generally take it too far

We have never been to Neyland, but are excited about coming to this game. Have heard a lot of horror stories and it seems like there is this dark cloud over us in just trying to come enjoy a good football game.

Is there any truth to all the rumors? Can we just enjoy the atmosphere and the game or are we constantly going to have to be dealing with meat heads?

Not really, unless you run into some really drunk people. Also, dont talk a whole lot of ****. But people are usually really friendly.

Disclaimer, this is a huge rivalry game for us, so some people may be more irrational than others. That shouldn't keep you from making the trip though.

You might hear some F words here and there, but none of them would be directed at you. I did sit in student section and found rival fans sitting there all the time. They were not harassed unless they were not being an arse.
I am sure you will enjoy the atmosphere. It gets pretty wild!
