Florida upset?

I don't ever want to see Foster on the field again. If people can't see that Hardesty is a much better running back with better skills then I give up. I've been saying this about Hardesty for two years and everyone wants to take up for Foster. I think it was very apparant last night who needs to be carrying the ball for us. The difference in speed and aggressiveness between these two backs is not even close. Hardesty knows how to hit a hole and get to the endzone. On a couple of plays last night where Hardesty had big runs, I couldn't help but think that had Foster been in the game, he wouldn't have even gotten past the line of scrimmage because he would have been tackled from behind or at the line of scrimmage. The first offensive touchdown was a good example of why Hardesty needs to be carrying the ball. On that play, the backside linebacker for UCLA blitzed and was untouched on his way to Hardesty but Hardesty turned on the boosters and went through the defense without being touched until he hit paydirt. Foster would have been tackled by the blitzing linebacker and never would have gotten to the line of scrimmage. I know that people have to be seeing this and can't believe this change has taken this long. If you are a slow and I mean very slow running back in the SEC, you sit on the bench or get faster. Dancing around in the backfield does nothing but give the defense time to get you behind the line of scrimmage when you play our schedule. Maybe Fulmer will abandon his UNION like ways and let the underclassman carry the load.

Amen! Foster has good qualities but he should be the 3rd down back and Hardesty should carry the load. Arian has been given plenty of opportunites and come up short. It's Hardesty's time. And if people want to use the record to justify Arian starting that is just ridiculous. How many of our great RB's have stayed at UT long enough to get the yards Arian has? Arian has done in 4 years what our great backs did in 2 years.....and that counts for the amount of fumbles, too.

UT will get it together, blow out UAB then upset Florida by 10 in Knoxville. Florida's overrated. Their offense is based on two players: Tim Tebow and Percy Harvin and their defense is not that good.

You do realize that Harvin didn't play and UF scored over 40 points right? Harvin's stats will be much lower than Chris Rainey's this year. They also have E. Moody and Louis Murphy and most importantly U. Meyer coaching. UF is a little overrated and their D is terrible but their O will put up at least 30 points. Hopefully, we can keep up.

I heard Chris Low, formerly of The Tennessean and now of ESPN, on Nashville sports radio today. His claim was this...Fulmer's teams have traditionally played their best with their backs against the wall (UGA last year) and the UCLA loss actually increases our chances of beating Florida. What do you all think?

i'm actually looking for florida to beat us by 28

Hawaii is actually a pretty good team. they clearly lost their playmakers, QB, receivers etc, but their lines and linebackers are actually very solid. They went undefeated least year, or lost 1 cant recall, with the lines and linebackers they have.

That said, we scored 28 in each quarter 2 and 3 and had our 2nd and 3rd stringers in on the 4th.

We do have a week off before we play you guys and we all need every SEC win we can get to be in it. To lose one this early would be tough.

That said, it seems to me you guys tend to lose early then become a different team later.

Schizophrenic, you mean. Unfortunately I was at the swamp for the beat-down last year... and then, suddenly, without warning, (sic) we looked like world-beaters against Georgia.

It just looks like to me that Meyer has Foolmer's number and Richt, for some reason has a little problem with our schemes. I hate to say it, but I'm very afraid another beat-down is coming on the 20th.

you look at our recruits and see that were a bunch of high three, four star, and even five star guys,
and then wonder whe the HELL we couldnt even snap it the other game.. or run into our own players multple times.. or pretty much get anything going..
this is all so messed up right now..

i've never felt so bad over a loss as this..for real :(

I really think you guys will beat Florida.
Look at what you did to Georgia last year.
I for one will certainly be pulling for you anyway.
Anybody BUT Florida!!!!!!!!!!:good!:

Well, all I know for certain is this...I'm a nervous wreck just thinking about UAB. I don't want to even contemplate Florida or Auburn or anyone else at this time. Yeah, Cal loss was awful last year, but nothing like the toatl breakdown of football basics I saw Monday night. :cray:
