The last time that happened was 2022 against LSU, I think.
um, since that game:

W W 52-49 vs #2 Alabama
W 44-6 vs #20 Kentucky
W 66-24 vs Mizzou
W 56-0 vs Vanderbilt
W 41-20 vs South Carolina
W 20-13 vs Texas A&M
W 33-27 vs Kentucky
W 48-24 vs Vanderbilt
W 25-15 vs Oklahoma
W 23-17 vs Florida
W 24-17 vs #7 Alabama
W 28-18 vs Kentucky
W 33-14 vs Mississippi St
W 36-23 vs Vanderbilt
W 41-34 vs Mississippi St
W 34-31 vs Arkansas
W 56-34 vs Kentucky

While the defense has struggled this year even in wins for previously stated reasons I believe we have had many great complete wins overall since LSU game.

For once this season I’d like to see UT play an efficient, clean game in conference play on both sides of the ball. Surely they can put that together against a 3 win team that got their coach fired? My heart tells me 41-10 UT but everything I’ve seen from this season tells me It’s going to be a close, agonizing game.
Expect a close game.

5-7 at Tennessee, with 3 of the wins vs Kentucky.
I don't know what the norm would be for winning % but I would say 5-7 is about norm. Some of those UK teams weren't bad. This year's UK isn't good, of course, but you just never know playing on the road. We've seen that with UK drubbing Florida 38-7 and many other examples.

Looks at Florida's home games, the talent they have and tell me what in the world would make you think anyone would beat them 41-10 in their house. Ohio State wouldn't beat them like that in the Swamp.

They did the the turds a favor giving them this time slot. It really makes no sense record wise..

There's not a big selection of games next weekend, but UT /FL will have more viewers

Missouri/Oklahoma is the best game of the day and should be in the 7:30 slot

It was designated as noon game from the start. It was never in the flex spot to have the 7:30 start.

“An efficient, clean game on both sides of the ball,” is what CherokeeVol said.

When I made my comment, I was also limiting the games to ranked opponents on the road. I did not clarify that. That’s my fault. I should have said, “The last time we did that against a ranked opponent on the road was 2022.”

Also, the score in that 2022 LSU game was 40-13, and that is similar to the 41-10 score prediction Cherokee made, so that’s why that 2022 LSU game came up in my head. That game stands out as the most all-around dominant game against a good opponent I have seen UT play in a very long time.

But looking at the list you showed, I would not call the majority of those games clean or efficient on both sides of the ball. Especially not A&M and UK in 2023, and pretty much every conference game in 2024 and 2025 so far was extremely sloppy.

Would have rather this been an early game. Fla will be up for this one. No doubt about it. I’m sure the fans will be good and liquored up by then. Will have to play no turnover and no dumb mistakes to win. Im not sure this team can do that.

The swamp at night is a challenge, and Florida is not going to roll over, especially not when anyone can see the Vols are not very good.

Gotta play their best game of the season to win.

Go Vols!!!

Vols aren't very good?

Likely 1 coaching error away from beating UGA.

Arguably 1 interception for TD (14/10 point swing) from possibly winning at Bama.

Gave the game away against Oklahoma. 3 turnovers that all resulted in points and was the clear cut difference in the game.

This makes the Vols not very good?

If Florida has quit, we have a chance. If they play like they did against Georgia we lose. If they play like they did against Kentucky we win. We shall see

Depends if your talking potential or reality.

While I agree with those thoughts on the games, we unfortunately don’t get any points for what could’ve been. This is what many of the “nega” crowd, myself included are bashed for. All games have been within reach, but lost due to lack of execution or mistakes.

The staff has to get this cleaned up or we will continue to make “what could’ve been” posts.

Our record is our record at the end of the season.
