Florida should be worried

So it was kind of like being the dumbest kid in a honors course at Harvard?

Overhyped? Is that really the word you'd use to describe the#7 pick in last years draft?

I think Peterson's an overall better athlete, but I don't think he's a better cover corner than JJ.

You'd be surprised at the boneheads at Harvard.

Uh, JaMarcus was the top pick. So what?

Peterson is the best corner in the SEC in years.

Because I'm confident we'd beat teams like Miami and Notre Dame on a yearly basis. It'd be a cool thing to see.

Still makes no sense the worm will turn. It has already started. Inevitable brai drain as Coordinators get hyped and take over their own gigs.

i'm not thinking national title either. i am basically trying to say that there is nothing florida ever does to make other people back off......other than winning a national title.

here's what i mean.

if florida beats......

tenn. is that a quality win?
ky?, lsu?, miss state?, georgia?, vandy?, sc? fsu?

florida can go 11-1 and lose to bama and people will still say......i don't think florida is very good.

in closing, i would also like to point out that this kind of crap is why i have no problem with running up the score when the opportunity presents itself.

The opportunity presented itself the last two weeks to run the score up and you guys couldn't do it. The wins you all had was hardly running up the score.

I disagree with what you are saying. Florida has been really good the last few years. Even last year, when you guys lost to Alabama, nobody was going to say you were not any good. Sorry, but your team this year is not the same team as the last few. You guys miss Tebow and it has shown the last two weeks against weak opponents. Unless you all improve really fast, I think you lose to Bama, South Carolina and possibly Georgia and even us. I will give you LSU, because Les Miles is an idiot, and the jury is still out on FSU. I could be wrong, JMO, based on what I have seen so far.

Meh, never been, I wouldn't know.

The Raiders have a history of making pis poor draft picks. On top of that, most people were more impressed with Russell's physical attributes than they were his on field performances.

I'm biased of course, but I think JJ is better.

Can't really disagree with your opinion, we have played 2 good quarters out of 8. Things need to change in a hurry for us, I hope we/ Addozzio turned the corner in the 2nd half Saturday.

Im not sure what you guys were watching but the Vols got mauled in the second half by Oregon. FLa. may not be the team it was under Tebow but they have talent for days. Talent that is better and deeper than Tennessee's.

Historical Recruiting Rankings for Fla.:

2010 2nd
2009 11th
2008 3rd
2007 1st

With enrolled rankings we finished #1 in 2010, and #9 in 2007. We also had a #1 class in 2006 I believe.

Not trying to bash you guys really, just going off what I have seen. I do think you all are missing Tebow in the worst ways. Honestly, Meyer even looks lost on the sidelines. Thing is, you guys do have lots of talent. However, getting them to play together is another story. I hope you all get it figured out after Saturday. :)

We aren't missing Tebow, we're missing Dan Mullen.

The team finally got it together in the second half yesterday.

You might be missing Mullen, which you probably are, but to say you don't miss Tebow is laughable.

You need to check your faxes on Tennessee's enrolled rankings for 2010.... It was actually 10th not 1st...

Conventional wisdom holds that a team makes their most improvement between their first and second games. I think it occurs after their first tough game.

That being said, it will be interesting to see how UT comes out against UF. And if the Vols can play a four quarter game against a quality opponent.

On another note...I must confess that I do own a Gator t-shirt. I keep it under my bathroom sink, just in case I look up and there is no toilet paper on the roll.....

Go Vols.

We aren't missing Tebow. He struggled in this same system last season whereas he flourished under Mullen.

If you are saying Addozio however you spell his name is a joke, I'll agree with you. But to say you aren't missing Tebow is still laughable.

You mixed us up, we absolutely miss Tim and his leadership, and you are right, Addozio is really struggling right now. Hopefully we get it right Saturday.

As I said. We aren't missing Tebow, he sucked at times last season under the predictable, uninspired, play calling of Addazio. The only tangible dimension Tebow brought that Brantley lacks is running ability. Brantley however is a better passer. Neither have flourished under Addazio.

You might want to talk to your fellow gator Bumi. He seems to think you don't miss Tebow at all. Looks like disrespect to a former Heisman winner to me.

Seriously, Tebow was an awesome player. Florida is definitely missing him. Addozio can only be blamed for so much.

We may miss Tebow on 3rd & 5 in the fourth against Bama, but weren't missing him against Miami of Ohio and USF. Him being here wouldn't have suddenly kept us from having botched snaps and terrible play calling.

Without tebow, florida's offense looks ordinary. They are trying to run a spread option with a finesse, dropback QB who is no threat to run. That will not work.

..or if you can't poop, you can always look at the shirt and throw up.

You can both try to welch at this point, butit won't change anything.

As an aside, looking to LG for support in a sports discussion is like asking Obama for help with a business issue.
