Florida owns the strip this week?

Didn't Clay Travis do a write up on the "Jorts" phenomenon? It started in '97 because the Pups had no response to Florida fans merciless heckling in regards to their team's suckage. They won the game that day, and it stuck... It hasn't done a whole lot for them since. Now they just claim it about every school that owns their ass.

That's true, Phi delt and Pi kapp have places rented out too.

Pi Kapp at Florida doesn't exist anymore. They got kicked off for hazing, I'm a Pi Kapp at UT. Kind of sad because Ben Hill Griffin is an alumni of that chapter.

For those of you saying fraternities dont have enough money to rent out bars, that isn't true. $1,200 a semester dues per brother gives you a big budget. During rush week and gameday weekends every bar on the strip and in the old city is rented out by fraternities.

I think we can conclude this is BS since you say no on Phi Delt and Pi Kapp doesn't exist at florida anymore...

Actually I wouldn't be surprised. I just hate this thread.

Pretty sure the UF Phi Delt's are the largest chapter in the nation.. so wouldn't surprise me.

How would the bar owners know that they were Florida fans when they reserve the spots? And even if they knew can they legally refuse them (I think they should be able to, but can they)?

As a bartender I can tell you that we "reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason." That means if I don't like the way you look, or I don't like your stupid UF hat and jorts then I can refuse you service. Drinking in public isn't a right, I'm under no obligation to serve anyone. However, you won't see to many bars refusing to serve gator fans because, as many have already stated, business owners like money.
