Florida owns the strip this week?

A guy in my calculus class just told me Florida's fraternities rented out every bar/open building on the strip on monday. He said they had this planned and got to them before us and they hung up UF banners everywhere.

I told him don't believe everything you hear, cause I don't think that's true, but he seemed to be pretty sure of this.

Not true, is it?

If so, the owners of the bars should be tarred and feathered, so should people on the strip who walk past it all and don't piss on it or tear it down.

How would the bar owners know that they were Florida fans when they reserve the spots? And even if they knew can they legally refuse them (I think they should be able to, but can they)?

i dont care if they rented knoxville, the strip will be clad orange and blairing rocky top :D

Leave it to a bunch of Gator fans to come in and douche up the town. Not surprised though, I expect nothing less from them.

If that is the case, and we win, there will be tons of fights on the Strip Saturday night.

I would say there's no way of this happening. But if it does there will be rioting. And quite possibly mattress burning.

As if I needed yet another reason to NOT go to Cumberland Avenue.

Football Saturdays are best spent with good friends at a tailgate or on a boat.

I have been to a bunch of UT games and have had drinks at alot of them, but I have never been in any of the bars on Cumberland Ave.

There is absolutely no way this is true, in it's entirety...

First off, you aren't renting entire places on the strip on gameday. They would lose too much money.

Second, there is absolutely no way a bar owner would hang up UF gear, or any other gear. Again, they wouldn't be dumb enough to bite the hand that feeds them.

Heard there will be a show down at Bar Knoxville....a few of the FB boys are heading over there to see if this is true.

While I highly doubt this is true, I do know that Kappa Sig at Florida has The Roaming Gnome rented out for Saturday night.
