This is the most confident I've ever seen a Florida fan base about a win over the Vols.

The heart break is going to be awesome if we pull it out.

Here are a few posts on their boards:

"Dobbs wont be able to hit them with the pressure were bringing and our cbs in their hip pocket. Our D matches up extremely well against their O. Their OL stinks."

"I think this defense is going to punish the Vols on Saturday."

"I expect our defense to walk the walk so it's ok to talk the talk. It ain't braggin' if you can do it."

In regards to Calloway being moved from questionable to probable:

"Think we all knew this, Vol fans worst nightmare confirmed."

When you have beaten someone 11 years straight I don't think you can be over confident. They own us until we take this series back

Honestly if I were a Florida fan I would like the confidence. We are always tight in these games

Well, wonder what ever happened to these people?

Hope Gator fans are feeling just as dumb at 7pm on Saturday.

I don't think we could have played any better last year and we still didn't get it down and didn't have the injuries like we have this year.

We are hanging out hats on the idea that the offense is weak and their line is worse. The Tennessee pass rush has been absent thus far and somehow it will be consistent against its first real competition.

I don't buy it.

Before he got the game winning TD, Calloway didn't really do sh!t against Tennessee in 2015. Not even close to being my biggest concern. Even with Cam out I am not sure they have a QB that will have time or the skill to use Calloway as a gamebreaker.

again what has convinced you that it will be consistent enough to cause problems if we couldn't rack of sack totals against the likes of App State, VT, and Ohio?

Except that we never say "this is the year"

Media hype ;)

This is the first year I can remember where we felt like we had a "chance" for a national championship. ;)

Its crazy how that works. Most teams would love to have the talent we have on their rosters but Tennessee somehow handcuffed itself and cant find the key.

Disagree. They are always overly confident, which is one of the reasons they always beat us. Fulmer notoriously cracked under the pressure of the Florida game. Confidence had a lot to do with that...

If Florida wants to have a true chance to keep it close they need to implement the triple option and quick throws, no long developing pass plays or straght right runs.

Yep, Fulmer cracked under the pressure, though Chavis called the defense while Cutcliffe called the offense. Makes sense... Must have been a lot of pressure deciding to go for it on 4th down or to punt/kick a field goal.

There is a reason we play the game, but based on what we have seen so far this season, why would a sane person not have some faith that Florida's defense can do the job on Tennessee's offense.

I flipped to the Tennessee-Ohio game briefly while enjoying FSU getting hammered and in a couple of brief glimpses in the game I saw Dobbs miss a WIDE OPEN Malone (no one within a 15 yard radius) for a TD and saw a pass bounce off a receiver's face for an interception.

Maybe Tennessee moves up and down the field at will, but I've seen Appy State whip Tennessee's o-line with a 3 man rush. I think you can understand where the confidence comes from.

'Fact is, gayduh, that had your boys played AS, VT and OU they'd likely be 1-2 or even 0-3. You have no measuring stick and the gayduhs haven't played a D anywhere near one such as Bud Foster's VT group. Hope you're at the game whilst we rush the field. Keep away from the posts.:eek:lol:

Negatory. All they "own" is their own thoughts & feelings. How on Gods green earth would they own anything about Dobbs or Hurd or me or you? I don't understand how or what that means, but it seems lame as all getout. From where I stand, they own a 3-0 record this year, which is the same record we "own". I SINCERELY hope the Tennessee players don't subscribe to some nonsensical notion that Florida owns anything other than swamp land (who even needs that).

Chin-up, Vol fans. Have some self respect first, then earn the respect of others.

I honestly don't recall any Tennessee fans that I know saying "this is our year". The media made that BS up. In fact this is probably the first time in over a decade that we were even considering playing for a NC.

Same reason most any logical UT fan is apprehensive. I think both sides know that TN has the roster and experience to win this game but they have yet to have a performance in 3 games that tells you they are prepared to do. That's not to say it doesn't show up Saturday but until you see it, is it really there.

Not sure which Tennessee team will show up. Hopefully the one that can overcome coaching.
