It would be nice if feelings won ball games. It's great to be optimistic, but come on. man! There should be some realism mixed in.
I love the Vols with all my heart, but they will lose by at least 30 points saturday, and I'll still love them just the same. They don't have the team to compete with the big boys yet.

hahaha you do you man. I'm not mad about it. I still watch every play of every game but I just watch the FL, BAMA, UGA games with no expections until Tennessee proves they are ready to really compete in those games.

We may be 4-8 team or whatever, but this team isn’t just going to lay down against Florida. They’re going to go down there, and play hard.

Not an equal comparison at all. Their one loss was by 2 points to the #1 team in the nation. Ours is to mediocre ACC team. Huge difference.

A lot of people is saying that we play hard for a chance to win this game. I don’t think anyone is in any looney bin, but I think it’ll be a lot closer.

These are the same posters that look at a win over TN Tech, in the same light as a win over an SEC team. As long as UT gets to a 3rd-tier bowl game, being 5th or lower in the East is fine since all wins are equal.

Pretty sure the jury is still out on this one. People were talking about how much better Pruitt and staff was than Jones after about 2 games too. Remember....."we got a real football coach" and all that bulls***.

How about all the "obviously" threads?

It's year one for a new coach. We have 71 scholly players. We are travelling into the Swamp to play a dang good gator team. Yet we have tons of threads and posts declaring -

We suck, we're gonna get killed!

How about calling them out for jumping on the "I told you so" opportunity by expecting the obvious?

Well! I am just getting that feeling. Pretty strange that you feel pretty good about this game. A chance to win it in the end, sure does feel right to me this time. I know people don’t feel good about playing Florida this year, but for me, I want to go play them, simply because I think this team is a lot better than most people think.

Optimism for this team to go down there and pull the upset? A chance to win. That is just a feeling I get.
