There has not been a Florida team in the last 20 years that couldn't flame out at any given moment. They are and always have been beatable.

I think it's possible, although obviously it's unlikely. So yes, when it happens, it will be an upset.

I have had those same feelings, the chill in the air, that feeling that I haven't had in a long time, betting it all on 34 red at the roulette table, and watching that little white ball drop on double 00. and you are crazy.

I think we have a legit chance to win this game...I honestly do....If we lose i'll eat crow, won't be the first time and won't be the last but I really think we go in there and give them a hell of a game...New attitude with this team than in past teams so I get the feeling they aren't going to curl up in a ball and be afraid of them this time around...The one thing I see that could hurt us is depth...We got none lol..Other than that I just got a feeling about things going our way this weekend...At least I hope so.

I do recognize this team didn't fold against Pitt. Guy's if there has been a time we just didn't have the players.... It is now. Our offense is mistake prone, have been all season. Penalties, execution. Our D gives everything they have but in the end LB and DB do not match up well. To have any chance the offense has to score every possession because I do not think for one second we can slow down Florida enough to play like we did against Pitt or even BG. I do not include Tech. 3rd team could have beat them like a drum. With all that said, shock the world. Go Vols

It really amazes me that so many on this board refuse to even try to be optimistic. If this trial that fans of UT are too much, why bother even being associated with anything UT? Those of us who are like me, and trust me I am not on the extreme sunshine pumper side, will always go into ANY game with the hope that we will be competitive till the end. If we lose, I will be disappointed, but not ready to jump off a bridge. If we win, I will be happy, but not ready to run laps around my apartment building. That up or down feeling will last until the next game and then the cycle repeats. I would not continue to "suffer" through watching this team if I were like your type. Not aimed at you specifically, just the post that triggered me to post.

What the hell does the coaching staff have to do with the way a team preforms on the field? The staff does it's best to put in place a game plan based on the teams abilities. In most cases (this one in particular) when a team has little ability, then all the coaching in the world can't cause the team to win. The staff must first recruit, then teach the players then finer points of a position then teach a system. DONT BLAME THE STAFF AT THIS POINT. They seem to be doing the best with what they have to work with.

The typical Tennessee fan. Think all week of a 100 different ways we might have a chance in this game, only to get curb stomped on Saturday. I used to do it too, all the time. After 6 coaches in the last 15 years, some things never change. Even in years we put a similar(sometimes even slightly better) roster on the field they beat us. Time after time. Yet ....there's still hope among some. Alot of people will say this is a loser attitude. And thatd be right. The fact of the matter is though, we are losers when it comes to this game and will continue to be, until we start winning some of them again.

I remember many years ago after college coming here and attempting to spread optimism. It didn't really work, but I tried. Now I'm mid 30s and know when to call a spade a spade. We are outmatched from a coaching standpoint. We will be outmatched from a talent standpoint, primarily at QB.

I don't want to be a debbie downer, but this is the truth. I point to two main reasons why I feel this way:
1) We're not disciplined. We had so many mental errors on Saturday and our previous two games, you don't go into someone else's house and upset them without playing disciplined football.
2) Missing on big, wide open throws. This is a problem. We saw this three times in the first quarter of our game last weekend. That's because TN Tech sucks and we had many of those opportunities. Against Florida we're going to have one maybe two shots at a homerun pass due to blown coverage. If we don't hit on those, we don't win.

Whoa, Rodney Garner hasn’t shown you that he’s ready for Florida? He’s gonna have this d-line breathing fire. We didn’t hire him so we could beat Tn Tech. We hired him for uf, uga, and bama. D-line is the key to stopping uf’s running. If they can get some penetration, uf has to throw more, which Jones sucks about the same as Milton at.

And Heup is an offensive genius. He’s gonna have a great game plan. Remember, he was a Heisman contender at qb, and molded OU guys and UCF guys. Uf plays defense without discipline. He sees that.

Finally, UF is coming off their ‘moral victory’ loss to bama. They think they are playoff bound already. Mullen talking about getting bama again. They aren’t focused. We’re gonna jump up and bite em.

We are way behind Florida on depth and talent. Even if we play an almost perfect game, we will still likely lose. Florida would have to lay a major egg to lose to Tennessee.
