Weak schedule, sure, and it's still early in the year so stats don't mean as much, but I think it's pretty clear their D is for real. UF has given up just 129.7 yards & 4.7 points per game. They're also No. 1 in sacks (16), yards allowed per rush (1.31) and easily the leader in yards allowed per play (2.59).

FWIW, Virginia Tech is 2nd in total defense & 1st in passing defense.

Meanwhile, the Vols are now 101st in total offense and 100th in yards per play.

their d is really good, as usual. their competition has been awful, but that is what it is.

our o line could make this a catastrophe.

I believe they sacked the N. Texas QB six times. Not an SEC level oline protecting him, but so far our defense has gotten minimal pressure on the three QBs we've faced.

That game is going to be ugly for Josh Dobbs.

Those have been their opponents so far so not really that impressive.

With that being said...we are screwed.

Ugh. This is bad!

They're gonna absolutely destroy our entire offense.

We had a weak schedule as well. As usually we made our schedule look tougher than it really was. We play up or down to our competition. We will either win/lose close this saturday.

True it's bad competition, but they've done what you're supposed to do with bad competition. Their D is pretty good.

Thus far, we have heard a lot of poor reasons for lack of focus and playing tight (first game, looking ahead, it's Bristol, looking ahead to Florida, etc). If this team cannot tune in for this game, when can they ever? If they aren't pumped up and come out flat after 11 years of Florida domination, then Butch will never beat Florida as the head coach at Tennessee. It is time to play with a savage attitude, not timid and conservative.

I am tired of excuses from both our fans and staff. Quite simply, it is time to put up or shut up. I know the product that we have put on the field so far in 2016 is not worthy of being ranked anywhere near the top 25.

Sadly, I dont think Dobbs has an SEC level oline protecting him either. Good thing he is a mobile QB.

Hopefully Mike Debord does what he did last year before the UGA game and goes and sits in the box 3 hours before kickoff. Only way we can salvage the season because if we have another bad game then we lock him in there and don't let him leave.

So based on stats, most of you are saying we should forfeit the FL game instead of even trying. Someone let CBJ know so he can cancel practice this week.

Low scoring game. Medley better be ready to have the game of his career.

Are you here to collect our fan cards, or just make false claims that we are asking CBJ to forfeit?

talk about overreaction...sheesh. if you're going to discuss this year's FL game, there's no avoiding the part of the discussion that should revolve around how bad a mismatch their front will be for our O line.

that doesn't make me or anyone else a bad fan.

Medley. yeah, i want the game in his hands.

Then the offense better get the ball in the red zone before attempting a field goal. Medley won't make anything beyond 40 yards. Not trying to bash the guy, but the team statistically has a better chance of converting on 4th down than making a field goal beyond 40. Medley is 30 percent for his career beyond that range.

Tennessee - 92nd in NCAA in total offense facing a very good defense.

Will be a long game.
