Florida looks like garbage UPDATE: LOST

Clemson came back but should still drop several spots if there’s any justice. They were favored over Troy by flipping 33.5.

Clemson was ranked 8th last week. Lost at home to a team they were favored to beat....and fell all the way to 8th. So not at all. This week they couldnt take the lead til very late in the 3rd quarter vs a team they were favored by 34 points to beat. Bet they dont fall out of the top 10.

"Clemson is BACK" was the preseason buzz. They will go 10-2 or 9-3 vs an extremely weak ACC schedule. Only decent teams they have to play are FSU and USCjr. We would beat them down just like last time we played them a couple years ago. We are actually bigger on BOTH lines and deeper talent wise.

The ACC is a joke

Florida will probably not suck this much again…. They have a bunch of dudes on that team…..But with the way that MSU looks right now, well if UF really does suck this badly- then they could very well lose every single one of their remaining games except maybe Kentucky….

I’m here for that sh**!!

Kentucky supposed to be terrible this year and looked it vs toledo....but they took Ole Miss to the wire today and lost by 1 score. Hard to tell who they are

Toledo is pretty good IMO. They are destroying a 2-0 Western Kentucky right now.

UK will be a tough out for most teams. Their schedule is likely too hard for them to compete and they still struggle offensively. However, their offense showed life today (either that or Ole Miss is just bad on D).

True. Maybe we can snag some of them when they hit the winter portal after the season.

The problem for Kentucky is that they just play so many good teams in a row that their morale and depth are going to get ground down. They play a cupcake next week, but then it’s South Carolina, UGA, Texas, Tennessee, Auburn, Florida all in a row. They probably steal 1 of the games, but they’re most likely losing the rest. So that’s 6 losses already and then they still have to play Vandy and Louisville.

Ill reserve my judgement for what we should be able to do until i see us play a real team. Having a directional school put up 17 ain't great

First part I 100% agree with. The only kickback I'd give on the second part of your post is one of the touchdowns we basically gave them and 10 of the additional points were in garbage time against backups. Really should've been 72-3 and possibly even worse if we wanted it to be.

Isn't South Florida, a "directional school" as well? I mean, it's better than giving up 18 .... and losing.

Also, Tennessee had 27 different players make a tackle today, and Colton Hood wasn't one of them. Basically, we played a lot of guys. Some of whom, I had never even heard of, and I follow recruiting closely. Herb Gray? Mmmmkay.

That 17 would only bother you, if you didn't watch the game.

No it didn’t age well. I keep forgetting that anything you say in a game thread on here will be used against you after the game.

I’m still not sold on Golesh. So many think he was the brains behind Heupel’s offense. Time will tell, which I obviously can not. 😆
I think what’s really helping Golesh is his defense. They’ve given up 23 points in 2 games against Boise and UF.

Todd Orlando is the DC at USF. Great dude. Met him at a coaches clinic in 2018. Glad he’s found his footing post-Texas.

Don’t worry in the swamp that blockhead Napier will get the team up to play us. The year that they went 4-8 and lost to Georgia Southern or whatever and still beat us just cemented that it’s a mental block. Hopefully Heupel can keep working on getting rid of it.
The players are here for 4 years, not 40. They're not here long enough to have a "mental block". And we've beat them 2 out of the last 3.

I watched the game. It was a great snap that lead to their first 7 points. It's really cool when our offense scores points for the other team.

Is USF ranked above us next week? I would not be surprised at all if that’s the case. Alabama and Clemson will still be above us. Shoot, I won’t be surprised if we’re 22 and UF is 21 and USF is in the teens. I’m being a little hyperbolic, but it seems within the realm of possibility.

Yeah and S. Car will get bumped to top 5 after their dominant display over sc state. Sounds about right.

I’ve took a lot of offense to it. Extremely disrespectful. Especially them keeping bama in front of us last week. That was blatant disrespect. Hope the team feels the same.
That’s main reason this team is playing with a chip on its shoulder , like I mentioned earlier . Hell even game day was not planning on coming Knoxville for this big game. Pure dis respect thus far . We have a great chance of changing that this coming Saturday .
