Florida absolutely destroys us. Unless our defense plays decently like the last two weeks AND our running game continues with the must added factor of JG having a great game. If any of those factors are not additive we will lose.

Still, how great would it be having Rockytop sung by the team and fans at the end of game there?

I still say if JG is serviceable and no TO's AND our D plays lights out and our running game keeps up like it has and we run on them all day and control that clock with a Chandler/Grey/Jordan punch in the mouth all day long and special teams gets us about 13 points (a TD somewhere and 2 FG's)..........we can stay in the game.

Florida's offensive line is vulnerable but I don't see us being able to exploit it. Kentucky was able to run the ball pretty well but they have a good experienced offensive line. I think our line has better long range potential but that won't help next week. I do think a ball control game plan will be our only chance for the upset. I just don't see us winning a shootout with Florida. I think we have about a 35% chance of winning. Hope we do but I just don't see it.

I hate bringing the negative into this thread but Florida seems to always look beatable in the weeks before/after playing UT. I agree with you though UT has the talent/ability to beat them just not the (recent) history. This is one of those things I’ll be glad to be wrong about but... UT/Florida is a painful watch for me

Problem is, the guy who will be throwing him the ball has a different mindset...and skill set.

There's an old saying, really old, and I don't remember the coach who said it, but..."When you throw the ball, three things can happen, and two of them are bad."

JG is the manifestation of that saying. It is what it is.

Is this thread on a timer where it pops up in September EVERY single year for the past decade. I swear (not really) that it's the exact same on from the past several years. UF looks like garbage the week before we play. Fans get all pumped @ how many suspensions or how bad their O is or their QB or or or. Then we think we have a chance and predictably get our arses beat and wet the bed against them the next week. :-/

I do agree that UF is beatable. No way they are a top 10 team. That said, I don’t think we have enough talent or coaching to beat them. For what it’s worth, we have played harder the last 2 weeks. I do think it will be closer than most think. Florida wins by 10.

By any other team but UT. Hate to be that way but there have been a lot better teams than this UT team get beat by lesser UF teams. Time and Time again. Every year its groundhog day with UF game.
