Florida: how can they say

What?

Anyway, last year the UT/UF game wasn't a blowout. If we won 31-17 and only put up 29 more yards than Florida I wouldn't feel it was a blowout. I would feel that we were handed a win more than actually earning one.

A blowout is what Bama did to us last year... 41-10 and a 210 yard offensive differential.

Thanks for opening up old wounds. My dog died when I was 4. I cried for days. Wanna bring that up next? Smh

the justin hunter td was clearly a blown coverage. there wasn't a gator within 20 yards of him. i don't know how this is even in dispute.

It isn't that much in dispute though it is interesting how many times and how many different D's have "blown coverages" while trying to defend coverage. Players that put pressure on a D generally benefit from more blown coverages and alignment mistakes.

But the real point is you want to deduct any good play where the opponent makes a mistake. Do that... and we can probably figure out a way that UT actually won that game.

it was certainly not a blowout.

however, i felt pretty good about the outcome throughout the game.

Exactly. I can't remember any point in the second half in which I thought UT had a real shot at winning the game. The final score was somewhat close, but the game was never really in doubt.

Fake punt killed our chances of winning. It was tied 10-10 and all the momentum was in our favor.

Guys, I don't care if the victory is by 1 point just as long as we beat those Florida scum and their crap eating fanbase. That being said, a 14+ point differential is preferred

Good post. If we can actually get pressure on him this year, and atleast be even in the turnover game, this IMO will be Dooley's 1st signature win. Very excited for this game, but will be glad when it's over.

I won't be glad when it's over. I think we should beat 'em once,,then turn around and whip dey ass again. And again. Yogi Berra style. We owe the Gators a ST*U ass whooping, something they have deserved for a long time. Vol fans need to see the Gators humiliated in the swamp. Once they are put in their rightful place, we can go on to set the score straight with 'bama, our true rival.

The fake punt took everything out of our guys and the stadium. After they scored we felt we had to shoot it out and threw an int. Uf will talk crap until we beat them. The are arrogant. It's just how we talk crap to UK.

Not to p/o anyone, but Gator fans saying last year's game was a blowout is the same thing as Vols claiming a "moral" victory in 2009. Gators won both games by double figures, no matter how "ugly" it looked. Personally, if I was a Vols fan, I wouldn't care how much UT lost by; a loss is a loss, and it hurts more if it is to a rival.

Why is 2001 one of the worst memories for me? Because UF absolutely would've MURDERED LSU in the SECCG. UF already destroyed LSU in Baton Rouge that season; infact, I don't think Nick Saban has ever lost by that much again in his HC career. Even though 2001 Miami is considered one of the best teams ever, Spurrier always said that his 2001 Gator team was the best he ever had. I would've given anything to see a Miami vs UF NC that year.

That route was schemed by Chaney. The safety was put in a tough position and he blew it. Nice try though. Chaney and Baggett are highly underrated. Actually they give us a decided schematic advantage! The Gator's about get worked silly. ----- every 3rd down Brantley hit was against bad coverage. Carl Moore looked like Herman Moore out there. Part of playing Qb is taking advantage of mistakes.

funny thing is the same was said by UT fans before the SECCG because we had already beaten LSU too

Edited, and you should have stopped there. No reason to worry about how badly the U would have beaten Florida.

I'm willing to bet that UF wouldn't have lost 37-14 like Nebraska did. Nebraska had no business being in the NC that year, after how they played against Colorado.

Probably not, but Miami won almost every game by 20+ points all year. They beat ranked teams by scores like 59-0, 65-7, etc.
