Florida Georgia "swap"

If it stays this way in the long term, I'd say it's a positive because it keeps us from having to play in the Swamp in mid September and dying of heat stroke.

I doubt a week or 2 makes much difference. Could be wrong.

Florida lost a bunch in the the secondary. Several guys on the line. Their WRs have been terrible for years. I'm optimistic.

7 wins and Florida will be one of them.
Dead on target post IMO, if you're a big time wr recruit you want a guy like Driskel trying to get the ball to you?

I think the Florida game depends on Roper. He was under Cutcliffe here and at Duke. That doesnt always mean it translate when you move and the offense is yours. Duke looked great last year but how much was Cutcliffe and how much was Roper. When UF plays Bama before us we will know. That being said I'm glad they finally do play a tough opponet before our game:good!: also I think UF will be one of best defenses in the Esat.

9 times out of 10 FL is a stronger team than GA.

Fl seems to never play anyone before we play them also so they never have to show any actual part of their real playbook.

We seem to always have to play one real opponent before them so they see ours.

I believe this gives us a better chance.

We've been drawing **** in the dirt for 3 years.

What playbook?

I can look at that the exact opposite way. I've heard it talked about as a negative for Florida many, many years that because they "haven't played anybody" that they wouldn't be ready to play Tennessee. I also don't buy the play book logic....it's about athletes and execution IMO and Florida, for the last 25 years, has done better with both.

Have you missed the last few years in the series?

It will be basically 3 weeks later. It still could be warm, but at least we'll be past the crazy hot weather.

Not really trying to belabor the point, but since 2005 (didn't look back further), we've played Florida between September 15 and September 21 every year. This year we play them Oct. 4..... first week of October. So, just about 2 weeks later and no more than 3 weeks later than we normally play them. Perhaps that'll make a difference, honestly don't know the weather/temperature patterns/trends in Florida.

I suspect it'll still come down to which team has better athletes and executes better. Those 2 factors will far outweigh the humidity as a primary factor at the end of the day.

The main difference it will make is that Georgia might have more of a problem getting their five (or six)players off of suspension in time for our game. Every year they have several thugs on suspension who just happen to get back on the field in time for our game.

Now that's a legit factor IMO.

Hard hitting analysis. :)

My only point is that they're likely more used to it and the extra 3 weeks means that statistically it will be less of a concern.

UF has the best CB in all of college football. And he is only a soph now. I think their secondary will be ok.

Florida also lost more to injury in one season last year than I've ever seen any team deal with. If those injury losses can keep healing and rebound back and play well without their injuries being in their heads, then I think Florida will be much better than all of us would like to think.

If Florida went 1-11 this season and I had to bet my life savings on who they beat, I would go all in on it being Tennessee.
