Looks like this is the best list of the other 5 top 6 SEC power teams (historically) to offer our recruits.

the fact that georgia didnt offer Croom just goes to show you how bad that program is right now. Best wr in the state and they dont offer him. They will regret that one.

Remember also there is a big difference between offering something and completing the process. Something Storm Johnson figured out the hard way.

Notable SEC teams (not counting KY, Vandy and OM) pursued and offered these recruits, not to mention countless other top programs for many of our commits like USC, OSU, Mich, NC, Texas, and Ok

This list is accurate for us, except for Meredith, we didn't offer (to my knowledge that is)

ND,LSU,ALA,GA,FSU,OK, TX,FLA....Tn beat all these teams out for Blanc.jk...I still dont understand this offer.Just because he is a local kid doesnt mean he is A Div1 player.

Croom is a Stud. Our coaches and some recruiting experts believe he will end up at TE. We picked up Blake Tibbs, a very good WR. He destroyed Stephenson HS in the first round of the playoffs. Stephenson is the HS that has about 11 D1 players.

Anything on McNeil?

Can't believe McNeil didn't have more SEC offers.

Good pickup. I think it's just a matter of coming from Texas , you figure it's Texas, A&M, and then Arkansas and LSU picking up the scraps.

To be honest, when it comes to safeties I rarely get excited, I feel like more times than not its the catch-all position.

Coach Dooley has proven himself to be an excellent recruiter and talent evaluator. IMO he has earned the benefit of the doubt, trust the coaches.

Dumb post. At no point did anybody think that because he was a local kid means that he was a division one player. If our coaching staff thought like that, we would sign a lot more people from knoxville. Yes I question the offer, but the coaches got to see him and evaluate him at camp against other top talent, and the same goes for VaTech. It was not because they thought this kid is from knoxville, must be a division one player.

Camp evaluation is very important, LSU has lost out on what many would consider good prospects because the kid didn't want to come to camp. However, I think the results of looking at kids at LSU camps has been quite a positive.

How many kids are commited from the state of Tennessee?

I would much rather sign guys from Georgia, Florida, Texas, South Carolina, and Louisiana, etc. than from Tennessee other than 3 or so of the top 10 prospects in-state.

Maybe so but you would still like UT to get the best from Tennessee if we have ten 4 stars you would think we could get 5 of them Instead of one.

It is not about which ones we could get, it is about which ones we are actually interested in.
