As long as you stay safe and are still around and healthy to talk smack in future years, that's good enough. :good!:

Thanks bud, I'm in Atlanta now so all good (we think). I'll have a house full of Jax/Gainesville friends and family evacuees if necessary.

Only way I see the game v UT moving out of Gainesville is if you have catastrophic type flooding or damage within a 150-200 miles radius of Gainesville, along the lines of flooding in Houston.

If that were to happen, I could see Florida agreeing to play in Atlanta, Birmingham, Shreveport, somewhere like that.

Ainge said its the SECs call -- If the forecast stays as it is now, the game should be as is, on 9/16

This is going to be one ugly game. A hurricane my be in everyone's best interest.
This game will be less of a slugfest and more like two bums fighting over a sandwich behind the porta-john.

lol.. True! Remember the 2013 UF-UT game? The game where both teams resembled the Bad News Bears, Peterman couldn't throw the ball ten feet, Florida kept fumbling snaps from center, Peterman threw a folly of a pick, only for that folly to be trumped by the Florida player tripping his own guy while running back what should have been an easy pick-6. :post-4-1090547912:

Let's hope it's not that bad, but it certainly has the potential.

I don't care how much Florida gets to rest their offense it won't help them. They have a serious issue with ball movement that they cannot figure out how to fix.

Can't argue with that. Only hope for Florida is the generosity of UT's defense.

Florida offense versus Tennessee defense, 2017: when a wholly resistable force meets a wholly penetrable fence. Somebody's ineptness has got to give!

Tune-in to find out!

It is my sincere hope that your daughter and everyone staying behind remains safe. My folks are on Amelia Island just north of Jax; since they retired down there from Knoxville they're going 2 for 2 on years they've had to evacuate (last year was Matthew, and now it looks like Irma's headed for NE FL).

myself and family lives in Jax as well. We are watching closely. Told my wife it would be a good weekend to take my 4 year old son to his first game, unfortunately i think the traffic would make it almost impossible to travel. As much as i would love to come up, i think it would be best to let the ones forced to evacuate have the roads for travel. On a side note Amelia is a beautiful community and even better golf courses. i hope your folks stay safe and if needed for anything i would be glad to help out. GO VOLS!
