I just got my student tickets for the Florida game but im not sure if the website is messed up again or if the swamp is set up differently then Neyland. It says my seats are in level 1, section 700, row 5, seats 5 and 6. ive looked at several seating charts and cant find section 700. any of our lovable gator trolls know where this may be? or is the system messed up again.

Swamp Seating Chart

it says that student ticket holders have to go through gates 12 and 13, so imagine you should be sitting in either sections 28, 30, 32. i'm up in section 320 =(

Serioulsy, good luck--I have been to the Swamp more than I wish to reveal,,,seeing that level 1 tops out at around 500 something, you may be in the parking lot. Unless 700 is something special for opposing students.

I have no idea where section 700 is. On the seating chart posted, visiting fans are usually in A, 45, the bottom of 36, 38, 40, and the tops of the 300s. And to the guy who made the sad face about being in 300... You should probably be grateful you'll be around alumni.

One thing....if you have never been to Gainesville for a game, be VERY careful with adult beaverages in public (i.e. outside of a bar or an RV)--even in a plastic cup. Even if you are not trashed. You will get arrested...thrown in a van, booked, miss the game, get bailed out etc. There is zero tolerance.

Even the Bull Gators worry about it....

This is good advice. You are welcome to drink on campus and in bars. However, once you step foot onto a sidewalk that's not on campus, GPD, UPD, and ASO will swoop in. They are also banning kegs on campus... or "community drinking devices" as they're being referred to.

We saw people getting busted in the parking lots, in front of the stadium, on campus, etc.-last year. UPD was busting people in the Bull Gator parking lot...so, I would be careful. When I visited that campus, , some years ago on booty calls, drinking was only allowed in designated areas on campus.

Either way, be careful and have fun

Ive been at UF since '04 (undergrad now grad)...

To clear things up:

Drinking and open containers are allowed on campus. However, you have to be at a fixed location. No drinking on sidewalks or on roads. This suggests that you are moving from one place to another. As of 2008, no community drinking containers on campus. Kegs are allowed on private property of course. The intention of no community containers law was to prevent kegs from being on campus and to prevent binge drinking.

General guidelines:

Drink in one spot... if you want to go somewhere else....leave your drink.

Carry your ID. You may have a random encounter where you are IDed. But if you are 21, respectful, dont have a keg and arent in the road or sidewalk. They will leave you alone.

No one who is of age, is cognitively aware enough to walk on their own, and isnt "mobilely" drinking, has no need to worry.

Thank you , even if you are a Gator.
