Still available on Stubhub. Btw I could use some advice, should I go ahead and buy 2 on Stubhub or scalp? The 2 I found on Stubhub are on top of the jumbotron but I'm ok with it. Thoughts? Any help would be appreciated.

You could pay equal to stubhub from a scalper well before the game. You can talk them down. You can pay way less than stubhub just before or after the game starts.

I've always wondered too

They fill the walkways with people. Atleast thats what they done at the UT v bama game in 2007. I was sitting about 50 rows up from the UT bench and you could look around the stadium and see some of the walkways and in some spots you couldn't even tell there was a walkway in that section. 9th largest crowd in UT history and unfortunately it was the last time we beat bama.

How does that work? Who are these 3k people who manage to get in and counted without buying tickets?

(BTW not calling you a liar. I've always wondered about this)

The total attendance includes stadium staff and security, ushers etc

But what are the risks of getting ripped off by scalpers? That's the only thing I'm apprehensive about. Is there any way to tell right there on the spot if they're fake?

How do they sell tickets for people that are in the standing room only?? If 102,455 have seats then what do the other 2000 tickets say?

Am I the only one who wishes we still had the first or second biggest stadium capacity in all of college football? I completely understand the fact that we don't sell out the capacity we have now so there is no need. I understand that and I see the financials of it. Just always seems to be a part of me that wishes Neyland was the biggest most intimidating stadium in the land.

They aren't tickets. IIRC, and like someone mentioned a few posts earlier, the total attendance includes EVERYONE who is in the stadium for the game, that includes many people who don't have a ticket like concessions workers, ushers, media, players, coaches, etc.

Then how was there over 109,000 for the Florida game in 2004? Our capacity was 104,000 back then. 5000 of those people couldn't have been media and concessions.

I was at the '04 Florida game along 109,060 others. Loudest environment I've ever been in, including NASCAR races, particularly when Wilhoit nailed the game winner from 50.

Seeing another victory over Florida has been a long time coming.

Do you remember how they let all of those people in even when they didn't have a seat? Did they sell general admission tickets at the gate?

No, I don't remember. We had season tickets that year. I remember the week leading up to the game they were talking about setting a new Neyland Stadium attendance record, but I don't recall any other details. We were in QQ Row 1 so I'm not sure how many people would have been in the aisles behind us at any one time.

It's amazing to look at the aerial picture of the stadium that night. So many people!

I was just trying to figure out how there were people standing in the aisle ways. Wouldn't think that their ticket would say " Row: Just stand where you can. Seat: None" lol
