One of my best friends is a die hard gator fan. I ate dinner with him tonight and he, like most others is really delusional. First of all he really believes that CUM is the greatest coach of all time (said the same thing about Spurrier). I told him that once Tebow is gone that CUM would either be exposed or gone to ND. Then goes on about how John Brantley is a superstar pro prospect, I guess he would be the first in gator history. He then proceeded to tell me that CUM would be in gainesville for 20 years. I responded that these days its all about the $$$ and that CUM would bolt if the money was right. Then he went into CUM's integrity and loyalty. When I asked about Utah he responed, "Oh, that was about the money." Thanks for making my point. He finshed by betting me $500 to $50 that CUM would be in Florida and not at ND in 2 years. Either way its worth $50 to see him squirm. Sorry for the rant, it just kills me when I see these high and mighty douche bags spew their BS. Bottom line, its a long fall off that high horse. I hope CLK and company can knock these punks off their perch.

I feel your pain, i work in a sports store and have to hear their drivel 24/7. Had one just today tell me that hes is 100% sure they will go undefeated and win another NC. Even went as far as saying 5 teams wouldnt score on them and the margins of victory will be larger than last year. But he doesnt see that as running up score. Says CUM will finish his career in Florida, the list goes on. And this is 40 something year old man. It was unbelievable.

I hope he stays there long enough for us to start turning the tide on them. It would be no fun for him to bolt to ND without us kicking his @ss a few times first. I would hate for him to hold onto that fact that he was undefeated against UT. When Teblow is gone for sure things will change in Gainesville. There aren't many QB's in the history of the game that is special like that guy is. Maybe he will bolt when Teblow bolts just to be sure.

I failed to mention that my friend is 51 years old. I am also no longer an SEC fan. I lived in bama for 3 years and Atlanta for 18 months. I am for whoever is playing the gators, bammers, or UGA. I hate them all with a passion. Once again, sorry for the rant.

I think the odds are better than 75% you win that bet.The only reason its lacks the other 25% is Notre Dame may actually be better this year.

Every Gator fan I've ever met is delusional. I remember seeing cars all through the late 80's with bumper stickers reading, "Florida Gators SEC Football Champions 1984,1985"

I work with a Gator grad. He is pretty humble and will not run his mouth...unless I provoke it of course :)

I work with a few Bama fans...those are the worst.

tebow is the perfect system quarterback may even be a lil overrated, i think that jc could run that offence because of all the fakes, and weapons on the outside and he is faster than tebow. Tebow is a leader with hella heart that what everyone loves about him.

I know some Florida fans here in Mid-Tenn. as well, not really my friends, but they sure do brag about CUM and Timmy Tebow. They are mostly punks who don't work, or wear their clothes right, so I just tell them that they are a really fine example of UF fans! They are all very cocky, and I can't wait for #14 to tee off on any one of them!

Once Kiffin stocks the roster with talent, he'll start beating UF and Bama. Plus, Meyer's heading to Notre Dame in a couple of years, so UF will be back to the Zook level--mediocre!!!

So I gues if we had won 2 bball titles in the last 3 years and back to back national titles in football we'd just sit around and not say anything...right...

must be the offseason...

What makes you think CUM will go to Notre Dame?

IMO he's got it pretty good at Florida and can recruit a lot of players he can't at Notre Dame due to entrance requirements. Plus Notre Dame tried once with him and it didn't work. If ND needs/wants another coach down the road, I don't think they'll approach Meyer.

I agree with the Gator fans. Why would CUM leave? It would be crazy. He doesn't have Saban in his division and he is positioned in a state that churns out bluechips. That coupled with the fact the FSU is about to see hard(er) times would lead me to beleive that CUM will be at UF for a very long time.
