As a head coach. Lane knows what it takes to win National Championships. He was with USC when it happened. I am not expecting a miracle season over night but this team can coach. The only thing holding them back is a quarterback who can't throw a football.
Did losing to UCLA really kill everyone's faith in this team? I admit I was down for a couple days but then Iw watched the staff pull in three recruits anyways. Let's not forget that UCLA has beatin' USC. UCLA wasn't going to be confused against the play calling because they've seen it all before against Pete Carrol. I am not writing this off as a loss. As much as I hate UCLA and think they suck, they run good defensive schemes. I am not saying Florida doesn't, I am just going to put faith into this game.
Ok, so what is the purpose of your presence other than being a complete douchebag?
Don't forget that when USC won their one crystal ball, Kiffin was carrying Norm Chow's clipboard. After Chow left, Kiffin and then Sarkisian struggled, they won no more titles, and the SC fan base was vilifying both, and almost gleefully happy when Kiffin bolted for the Raiders.
Basically Monte Kiff. vs. Chow was a draw, the game Saturday was won by UCLA's new defensive coordinator stuffing anything and everything mastermind Lane tried, just like the 13-9 game at the Rose bowl three years ago.
One more thought on the first INT that Crompton threw: if you watch the replay of the overthrown ball to your injured wide out, if he could jump a foot off the ground he can at least tip that pass and prevent the INT, if not make a great catch. Playing a guy who had barely practiced with a high-ankle sprain was as big a gaffe as Crompton's slightly high pass.

Exactly. USC would have pasted you rather than OU the pretender. It was embarrassing for the game.

Further showing your stupidity. Kiffin and Sarkisian really struggled in having the most dynamic offense possibly in the history of football after Chow left.
Let me refresh your memory since you cant find these:
Nick Saban's record is 93-42-1 with 2 SEC Championships and one NCAA championship, so far.
He had a rough 1st year at Bama losing to MS State and LA Monroe. Taking a program that a string of coaches had almost ruined, but we are now back.
What's Kiffins record as a head coach? The only thing we have to go on with Kiffin is a win against Western Kentucky and alot of idiotic comments.
really? Did you ever watch them under John David Booty? Guess you missed them losing to Oregon State, Stanford (41 point underdog) and UCLA, while offensive shortcomings were blamed for each subsequent failure to reach another BCS title game post-Chow.
We were looking for revenge after a UCLA loss last year. Most of us thought it was going to be a win. We barely lost with a terrible offense and coaching last year.
They are looking for revenge based off of Kiffin's comments earlier this year. They are now thinking Tennessee will be a cake walk after losing to UCLA.... at home. I am not saying Tennessee is going to win but I think they can. I think Florida's hatred and over confidence is going to force mistakes. Tennessee has nothing to lose anymore. They aren't over confident and they are the underdogs. They were always going to be the underdogs but the UCLA game was a reality check. Heck, they had chances to win it.
I think Crompton doesn't do much to help win the game but I think he plays mistake free. The defense does the rest. Tennessee CAN win this game. They lose it way more than they win it but after watching the Giants knock off the undefeated Patriots.... anything is possible. Giants lose that game way many more times than they win it. It only takes one game and I think Tennessee can handle business. Worst case scenario.... the lose by 14 or less. Tennessee is not getting blown out. They can and will give Florida all they can handle. I can't wait until Cadillac Williams and Ronnie Brown grow up. I mean Bryce Brown and David Oku. I hope they grow up earlier than expected and by earlier, I mean next week.
Go Vols!
the defense got ripped up against Oregon State and in particural texas. Booty had a broken throwing hand against stanford and threw multiple picks and the SC defense gave up two miracle 4th quarter TDs to a stanford qb who is now second string. UCLA is the only loss that can be thrown on the offense.
I guess getting shut out 21-0 in the first half at Corvallis, and throwing a pick in the end zone, must have really helped win that game. And missing a 2-point conversion at the end of the game, all the defense's fault, right Oski?
The fact is SC won nothing after Chow left, and on boards like this in LA Kiffin was vilified and hated.
Now go back to figuring out a way to win in Los Angeles this decade, and maybe another Rose Bowl appearance every 50 years. Only good thing happening in Berkeley is Top Dog.
USC's success is the reason why Patrick Turner chose USC over UT.
Don't kid yourself. If Kiffin was recruiting coordinator at UT instead of USC back then, how easy do you think it would have been to sell one program against the other?
Southern Cal sells itself. Kiffin was just an order taker.
IT'S TIME my A$$, SGMVols. I love all of yalls pictures of little lane, but I don't see any of daddy? He really calls the shots doesn't he?
