Florida fans saying same thing we said about UCLA

If Florida is thinking about how bad to beat us instead of just beating us. We have a mental edge already.

They are going to sing rocky top after every touchdown, and they'll probably lose their voice by the 3rd quarter. Face it, Tennessee is going to be down until they find a coach. Believe me we know how hard it is to find a coach. Tennessee should fire Kiffin and hire a coach now

Hey, how'd ole Nicky boy do his first year at Bammer?
Just wondering..I can't recall.
The point being:
1) If you didn't want to fire Satan after his first bad season, why would it make sense for us to fire Kiffin after his 2nd GAME?
2) Why do you even care?

Worst case scenario....they lose by 14? Do you really believe that 2 touchdowns is the WORST that can happen to the Vols in this game? That's hilarious. That honestly sounds like your best case scenario.

My only problem with this statement is...

Patriots were going to kill the Giants.
Alabama was going to kill Utah.
Florida was going to kill Ole Miss.
Oklahoma was going to kill Boise State.
Oklahoma was going to kill BYU
Steelers were going to kill the Cardinals.

And the list goes on... again, I am not guaranteeing a Tennessee win. I'm pretty sure Florida will but I think Tennessee can upset them. I've witnessed crazier things. The music city miracle for starters.

Funny that each team you listed had an outstanding quarterback

If Jonathan Crompton and our O-line played for any of those teams then all those would be true

We have nothing to lose. They could lose a spot at the National Championship if they trip up here or somewhere else. I am sure they thought Ole Miss was going to be an easy win just like they think UT will be another warm up game.

Ole Miss was a noon kickoff after a big win over you guys, a classic letdown game. And as it turned out, Ole Miss was a helluva lot better than anyone expected, dare I say much better than UT this or last season. (my opinion).

Again, Meyer prepares his teams better than any UF coach I've ever seen. And this is a rivalry game. UF is not taking UT lightly. Lane Kiffin has never been in this position as a head coach. Watching Pete Carroll do it at USC isn't the same as doing it yourself.

Trust me when I say you have Florida's full attention.

If we do happen to beat the gators, it will be the perfect definition of David vs. Goliath.

Florida has pictures of Kiffin and those dumb a$$ comments he made when he got hired about singing Rocky Top in FL when TN BEATS FL (Dumbest Comment any coach could have made). Yall actually think Urban Meyer has forgotten that? You think your going to sneak up on FL? It will get UGLY, yes FL by 40 and I can get it for -28.5 to the bank.

I still wanna know how Nick did his first year since you say we should fire Kiffin already after his 2nd game.
Did ya'll struggle a little that first year or am I making too much sense for you to respond?

Everyone brings up the Ole Miss game........that is all anyone has and other than a missed ext point (tie) we could have won but look what we have done since. I have been folliwng the gator's for 40 years and I have NEVER seen them more focused. They are not going to overlook TN or anyone on their schedule....period!

Let me refresh your memory since you cant find these:

Nick Saban's record is 93-42-1 with 2 SEC Championships and one NCAA championship, so far.

He had a rough 1st year at Bama losing to MS State and LA Monroe. Taking a program that a string of coaches had almost ruined, but we are now back.

What's Kiffins record as a head coach? The only thing we have to go on with Kiffin is a win against Western Kentucky and alot of idiotic comments.

We were looking for revenge after a UCLA loss last year. Most of us thought it was going to be a win. We barely lost with a terrible offense and coaching last year.

They are looking for revenge based off of Kiffin's comments earlier this year. They are now thinking Tennessee will be a cake walk after losing to UCLA.... at home. I am not saying Tennessee is going to win but I think they can. I think Florida's hatred and over confidence is going to force mistakes. Tennessee has nothing to lose anymore. They aren't over confident and they are the underdogs. They were always going to be the underdogs but the UCLA game was a reality check. Heck, they had chances to win it.

I think Crompton doesn't do much to help win the game but I think he plays mistake free. The defense does the rest. Tennessee CAN win this game. They lose it way more than they win it but after watching the Giants knock off the undefeated Patriots.... anything is possible. Giants lose that game way many more times than they win it. It only takes one game and I think Tennessee can handle business. Worst case scenario.... the lose by 14 or less. Tennessee is not getting blown out. They can and will give Florida all they can handle. I can't wait until Cadillac Williams and Ronnie Brown grow up. I mean Bryce Brown and David Oku. I hope they grow up earlier than expected and by earlier, I mean next week.

Go Vols!

Sounds to me like someone needs to manage expectations. Would be nice, but, probably not to be.

Exactly. I'm not saying Tennessee is going to win. I am saying Tennessee can win. Florida is expecting to romp Tennessee and it's true. They really are... Meyer might be the only one in the locker room who is staying focused. I am sorry but Lane was focused on UCLA also. Our players thought it would be an easy win and it wasn't. I believe Florida players are thinking the same thing.

How exactly do you know what Florida players are thinking? Have you been in the locker room? Have you read any quotes or heard any sound bites? Do you really think that they need motivation to want to destroy Tennessee?

All this garbage about Florida's players not being focused because they are too busy being angry and seeking revenge to defend the honor of Urban Meyer is utter nonsense. Even if it was true, it seemed to work pretty well against Georgia last season.

I asked for first year stats since that's what you're talking about. It was 6-6, correct?
Kiffin is 1-1...did you want Saban gone after his first loss?
How about the "*******" controversy, since your coach doesn't make idiotic statements like ours?

How soon we forget.

My friends are okay with it. The rest of those guys? One of my, one of my guy on the board — you guys won’t be able to put this on the thing — was walking down the street, one of the Board of Trustees guys like these people around here and sitting up on the stage today at LSU, is walking down the street yesterday before the Sugar Bowl. He calls me. There’s a guy working in a ditch. One of those coon-ass guys that talk funny. I can’t talk like him but he can. Most people in Louisiana can. And he says, ‘Hey, you see where Coach Saban signed up with Alabama?’ You know however they talk. And the Board of Trustees guy says, ‘Yeah, I saw that.’ And he says, ‘That son of a *****. I feel like he’s f–king my wife.’

Can you say 1-2, maybe yall can play Western Kentucky 5 more times to get to six wins. You thought 29-9 was ugly last year, just wait. The Florida beatdown Saturday will be nothing.

Actually Saban is 106-50-1 (Through the FIU game.) A winning percentage of 67.5% during his college career. Hardly stellar for "the best coach in football" (As some Alabama fans say)!!

So Sister of Saban, please crawl back under your rock until you are intelligent enough to come on a vol board and make comments.
