Florida fans saying same thing we said about UCLA

We were looking for revenge after a UCLA loss last year. Most of us thought it was going to be a win. We barely lost with a terrible offense and coaching last year.

They are looking for revenge based off of Kiffin's comments earlier this year. They are now thinking Tennessee will be a cake walk after losing to UCLA.... at home. I am not saying Tennessee is going to win but I think they can. I think Florida's hatred and over confidence is going to force mistakes. Tennessee has nothing to lose anymore. They aren't over confident and they are the underdogs. They were always going to be the underdogs but the UCLA game was a reality check. Heck, they had chances to win it.

I think Crompton doesn't do much to help win the game but I think he plays mistake free. The defense does the rest. Tennessee CAN win this game. They lose it way more than they win it but after watching the Giants knock off the undefeated Patriots.... anything is possible. Giants lose that game way many more times than they win it. It only takes one game and I think Tennessee can handle business. Worst case scenario.... the lose by 14 or less. Tennessee is not getting blown out. They can and will give Florida all they can handle. I can't wait until Cadillac Williams and Ronnie Brown grow up. I mean Bryce Brown and David Oku. I hope they grow up earlier than expected and by earlier, I mean next week.

Saying Florida's "hatred and over confidence is going to force mistakes" is a really, really big assumption, one that I think is more fantasy and hope than anything.

Tennessee really had nothing to lose before the UCLA game as far as the Florida game because even if we beat UCLA, we'd still be pretty big underdogs against the Gators.

I'm struggling to remember the last big rivalry game UF didn't show up for.

UGA '07 maybe? And that team had the overall #1 NFL draft pick playing QB, not Crompton.

Rest assured UF will be focused and not overconfident. Remember Meyer's been here before, Kiffin hasn't.

I never said it's going to happen for sure. I said "I think"... in other words it's my opinion. I never said it's going to happen for sure. Just a prediction. I do think Monte has held back on defense. Offense lost the last game. I think Monte has a couple plays that will bait Tebow into interceptions.

Florida beat us last year and the year before that and the year before that.. I doubt they have the term "revenge" on their minds... Think more along the lines of "onslaught"

As a head coach. Lane knows what it takes to win National Championships. He was with USC when it happened. I am not expecting a miracle season over night but this team can coach. The only thing holding them back is a quarterback who can't throw a football.

Did losing to UCLA really kill everyone's faith in this team? I admit I was down for a couple days but then Iw watched the staff pull in three recruits anyways. Let's not forget that UCLA has beatin' USC. UCLA wasn't going to be confused against the play calling because they've seen it all before against Pete Carrol. I am not writing this off as a loss. As much as I hate UCLA and think they suck, they run good defensive schemes. I am not saying Florida doesn't, I am just going to put faith into this game.

I honestly think you guys would have given up on the Patriots last night or the Giants in the Super Bowl if you were fans. It's not over until it's over. We shall see.

We have nothing to lose. They could lose a spot at the National Championship if they trip up here or somewhere else. I am sure they thought Ole Miss was going to be an easy win just like they think UT will be another warm up game.

Tennessee fans are delirious. You need to come back to reality and get a coach. Kiffin is terrible (4 dive plays in the 4th). Florida beats you by 40, just like Alabama did last year

Exactly. I'm not saying Tennessee is going to win. I am saying Tennessee can win. Florida is expecting to romp Tennessee and it's true. They really are... Meyer might be the only one in the locker room who is staying focused. I am sorry but Lane was focused on UCLA also. Our players thought it would be an easy win and it wasn't. I believe Florida players are thinking the same thing.

If we can break tebow's jaw at the beginning of the game instead of waiting to the last, we have a chance.....Just kidding.

I think we will see a solid football game. With the entire arsenal of the office exposed, by both teams. I will be paying particular attention to the defensive scheme.


You are right, its the same psychology. I pointed this out the day before the UCLA game.

You beat the 117th ranked offense. Congrats. So did Wyoming. Different coaching staff. Saban couldn't even out coach a team of 3 star athletes. He will have his work cut out against a Pete Carrol product. USC stole half the championship when they weren't even in the championship. Ha.

It's almost like in the Rocky movies: He get's them Mad, wears them out, then knocks them out in the final round! Classic style. Well, we got them mad. That's for sure.

29-9 is not by 40 points.. but considering where you're from i wouldnt expect you to know that

Fine with me. It took them a quarter and a half to punch Troy in the mouth. Tennessee has a tad more speed than Troy. If they are going to punch Tennessee in the mouth, I think it will take three quarters.

The game is not played on paper it is played on the field. They will kill us, but they better be careful on how they treat the win. A Rumor going around is they are going to play Rocky Top and sing it every time they score(99.1 sportanimal). They better just remember kicking somebody while they are down will come back and bit them in the future.

Saw a Tebow interview on ESPN and the cockeyness was horrible, I guess if I was that good I would be cockey too. But over confidence is a flaw that could be their downfall down the road. AKA national champship against TEXAS

My only problem with this statement is...

Patriots were going to kill the Giants.
Alabama was going to kill Utah.
Florida was going to kill Ole Miss.
Oklahoma was going to kill Boise State.
Oklahoma was going to kill BYU
Steelers were going to kill the Cardinals.

And the list goes on... again, I am not guaranteeing a Tennessee win. I'm pretty sure Florida will but I think Tennessee can upset them. I've witnessed crazier things. The music city miracle for starters.

They are going to sing rocky top after every touchdown, and they'll probably lose their voice by the 3rd quarter. Face it, Tennessee is going to be down until they find a coach. Believe me we know how hard it is to find a coach. Tennessee should fire Kiffin and hire a coach now

You do realize Kiffin's winning percentage is better than last season right? 1-1 is on pace for 6-6. Better than 5-7. Why would we fire a coach who is out recruiting your coach this season? I guess Alabama should have fired Saban after going 7-6 right? Ooops, I mean 2-6.
