Florida fans don't really hate Vol fans

When UT starts beating UF again, their hate will reach record heights. With Lane running the O and Monte and Coach O coaching the D, the beatings of UF should start soon.

As long as Knoxville gives him a couple of tries at it before it's "OFF WITH HIS HEAD!"

I would rather being playing in nobowl game, than playing in the independence bowl. If we HADN'T lost to Wyoming we would be in a bowl game now and still no progress on the coaching staff and recruits. I actually like how its all played out.

Wow. How can you see Donovan McNabb in Tebow? Tebow is a comparable runner but in no way has anything close to McNabb's ability as a passer. Tebow will not be an NFL QB except in short-yardage situations. Also, what would Meyer do in the NFL? Unless the spread option catches on(which it won't) then there is no way he ever coaches in the NFL.

Sorry I have been away, but to answer this, I have to say I watched McNabb play at Syracuse and his first year in NFL he was not a good passer at all then, that is something he developed over the first five years in the league. So to me he and Tebow are exactly the same...body build, play style, attitude. Donovan perservered through a lot of BS in Philly, he was booed on draft day for god's sake, I love the guy and he is one of my top 3 favorite QBs of all time.

When Lane Kiffin gets a few blowout wins over UF, their fans will come back on the board with their usual hatred, like the good ole days!

what "good ole days" ? you mean the Zook years? That is the only time I remember losing on a consistent basis to UT since 1990.

Tim Tebow's armstrength is NOWHERE near McNabb strong.

He very well may be successful in the NFL, but not a very good comparison. McNabb can make throws that Tebow can only dream of.

Keep in mind I am not a Tebow hater..

Believe it or not football was played before 1990.

Hey nice tone to your post, let me help you out by BOLD highlihghting the portion that tells you in my original post that I know if this sport called football pre 1990,

I don't understand how you can judge arm strength from watching him on TV or being in the stands hundreds of feet away from him. Is this opinion from his coaches? or NFL arm strength experts?

oh and I didn't mention arm strength I don't think. I mentioned 3 other attributes. Arm strength will ALWAYS bring me back to thinking of Chad Pennington.

I didn't realize that we had put a time limit on when the "good old days" were. I am glad to know you arbitrarily set that date as post 1990.

No offense to you intended but there were no Florida football fans pre 1990 to speak of.

If you didnt grow in Florida, I can tell you, we did exist, we just cared more about fishing, golf, going to the beach, and drinking and cooking at the stadium on football saturdays pre-Spurrier. He turned the football program into a winning one and the fans now eat it up.

No doubt there were the die hard fans. Spurrier did put you guys on the map, before that it was pretty dismal.

I've seen enough football to know arm strength when I see it. And yes the knock on him from scouts is his arm strength and throwing motion in general.

I would gladly take a bunch of Tebow's, because you can't teach or coach the heart he has.

And my apologies if I jumped in about armstrength when you didnt mean it...I just saw comparisons to McNabb and decided to toss my 2 cents.

1] I like the intelligence and thought that you put forth in this post. But, as I have stated many times before, I am an Alabama fan. Sorry for the confusion.

2] I don't really recall talking much smack or slinging insults, other than defending my views and opinions on certain topics.

3] No I don't. However I do hang around the boards that I deem significant. I won't even mention UF or UGA because they deem you insignificant.

4] What Bowl is TN playing in? I couldn't resist. Alabama now holds a 2 game winning streak over UT, boast a 46-38-7 all time record over UT. I could go on but I am going to end this foolishness. By the way, could you pass it along to belchervol that I am a Bama fan?:birgits_giggle::good!:

Wow. This is so typical of an ignorant Bammer. They have one good year in the last ten and you'd think they were Ohio State, USC, Oklahoma or something. Shut up you Bammer tard. Why is it all the Bammer clothing I see is brand new? Because no one's bought any in ten damn years. You turds come out of the closet when you get a winning season don't ya. Boy that was a long, long, long wait...but hey, you're "back" right? We played in the SEC championship game last year, you played this year. Guess what....we both lost. Yeah, I know it hurts...but it's gotta hurt more going in undefeated and getting utterly embarassed. Have a great day...& stay classy Tuscaloosa.:eek:hmy:

Actually this is a relief to me.... :hi: My bad on the Cock referrence, now I can just call you a prick instead! Juuusssttt Kiiidddiiinnnggg!!! :salute:

Although I don't like it, a Bama fan holds much more wait than any Cock I know! :)

Kind of tough to decipher that sentence,(weight) instead of wait...... You know you really left the door open with that sentence also.........

Don't get me wrong, I'm a McNabb fan too. I just don't see Tebow having anything close to McNabbs passing ability. Tebow is a great football player and handles pressure extremely well. I just don't see his skill set fitting the NFL game. If you were a GM would you risk a first round pick on a guy we don't even know can throw from under center?

I'm curious, do you hang around "the barn" boards preaching UA superiority since ending the 7 game slide?

I would disagree with your statement concerning UF and UGA and I believe you would too.... Otherwise, this logic would apply to AU and LSU's thoughts, or lack there of, concerning Bama.

That was a statement you made, I just copied and pasted. I do agree with it in this millenium you all (Vols) have been insignificant. Hey I haven't been able to talk sh-t in 10 years...... And I don't preach superiority, but you know those consecutive wins go both ways between UA and UT......

Chad Pennington is the most accurate NFL QB ever. Tebow is strong but does not have a strong NFL arm. Tebow's accuracy is nowhere near Pennington's. Tebow's speed was nowhere near Vick's. Tebow's toughness will be broken down by the LB's, DE's and DT's that will be tackling him. Lastly, Tebow doesn't have enough upstairs to effectively call plays at the line or break down pass coverage during the play. He has to excel at exactly NONE of the things an NFL QB needs to and you expect him to be successful how? Because he's tough and can improvise on a jump pass? Tebow's biggest asset in the NFL will be in short-yardage or goal line situations. Even that won't be as effective, though. The two yard runs that he turns into 5 yards in college will just be two yard gains in the NFL.

Oh no!!! It's that South Carolina fan again! LMAO!

And brag about how it's the best program in college. Short memories......

If we have been insignificant then where have you been? I haven't heard any Bama fans saying they were insignificant after this season. We may not have won anything significant but we have been much more significant than you guys. Our 2001 season was very much like your season this year. 2007 was tough but we managed to go to the SECC. We've also been consistently in the top 25 or top 15 except for 2005 and 2008. Please, keep bragging about your one good season in 15 years.

Funny you bring this up because I believe that you all
are started in that direction now.
I have to disagree with it hurting. I didn't feel any kind of pain........also, the utterly embarassed comment says alot about you buddy. I think the consensus, even on this board, would disagree with UA being utterly embarassed in SECCG

I seriously doubt we will sink to the depths Alabama endured in the last ten years. I also can't help but wonder how long it will take Bama to find itself back on probation. There are just to many boosters floating around down there and too many kids dumb enough to take money from them.

I actually look forward to competing against a better UA program. One thing is for sure over the past couple of years the SEC has gotten tougher.
