Florida could go 2-10 easily

I'm ignorant, but I don't see how you can hire a proven coach at any price now. The standard right now is basically 100 million guaranteed, in which the motivation is entirely for the coach to fail. It's in his best interest to fail. The whole system is broken. You can only get somebody to go to Alabama because it's Alabama. Coaches, despite the high price, are in fact dumb enough to think this is. good idea. They can be suckered. This is what Florida has today-they actually have talented players. No sticking power, however. All their players can quit.

The supply system for coaches is just broken beyond repair. It's been broken, but I just think it's totally jello now.

I remember hearing all offseason how great Lagway is and how UFs WRs were spectacular. Their offense looked extremely pedestrian against USF defenders. I don’t think it’s going to matter if they want to play for him or not because of how mediocre they are . They are about to face some great teams over the next few games with some dudes on defense.
Lagway has the Nico disease. Stairs down his receivers and holds the ball way too long.

But at least Lagway is accurate.

Why would anyone want the bama gig? You’ll always be in sabans shadow even if you win.
I am not sure if Bama wants an offensive guy right now. That’s what Deboer was supposed to be and their fans are complaining that he’s too soft. I wouldn’t be surprised if they went after whoever appears to be the biggest *******, trying to recapture Bear and Saban one more time.

I’m going to put myself in Bama’s shoes for web footed sister lovers.. “Cheating always worked. Let’s show cause for Harbaugh and Stallions. We’ll hire Pruitt for DC.”

Bama finds a way

Bama is stuck with Deboer for at least another season. I can't believe he didn't portal a QB in year 2. How can you watch Ty Simpson at any point and think "Yeah, that's my guy."

This is why I am convinced that the Gators will tank the rest of the year, and in fact why, when moving forward after an unforgivable loss, all teams will throw in the towel: UF players are surely now already thinking about the portal and their next NIL deal. They will want to stay healthy and uninjured. I think you will see a number of them sitting games out, just as has been the case lately in crap bowl games.

@lawgator1 @Lawrence Wright can provide more color I'm assuming, but I think it is really interesting that Stricklin got a contract extension the other day. It seemed to be trending for a while that he might not have much of a say in picking Billy's replacement, and/or that he was on the hot seat himself.

Does UF not having a permanent President help him? Did Golden winning a national title last year help him?
