And not one OL defended him or tried to protect him.

Next time our QB gets hit where his helmet comes off, one or two of those guys have to take exception to that. It hurts their team for their QB to get hit like that and IT SHOULD BE EMBARASSING TO THEM!

As bad as Florida is they still have several NFL caliber defensive linemen...and they got their best linebacker back for us as well...

Spot on, they should be embarrassed and apologizing to JG, none of them act like they want to be there and if they don’t then they need to be shown the door.

All Oline positions should be up for grabs, including T Smith’s spot, none of these guys should get a pass.

Might move the pocket around. Maybe max protect to the side they're blitzing from. Just a thought. Oh and if we have anyone that can play guard play them..

I don’t think any of them care. If they did they would have defended him on that dirty hit that hurt JGs knee. They’re all soft and none of them care about UT except maybe Trey smith. Things are only going to get worse from here

Fla set the tone early and the result was they abused us at Neyland last night. Mullen and his coaches saw our previous game misalignments where we start a play mismatched by the numbers, not having a hat in place for the hats rushing our QB. It was clear they meant to peel their ears back and knock the daylights out of JG on the first possessions. And they did. And it set the tone for absolute abuse to follow. They abused JG, our OL was typically non-supportive, and Helton still doesn't get it that if you place offense into ridiculous mismatches up front that a good SEC D will kill your QB.

I have been a staunch supporter of JG, but have to concede that he hasn't been prepared or taught to recognize the overmatches or move the pocket with self survival instincts. We have JG looking to the sidelines for a play call, a coach sending him play signals, and neither of them aware the Fla D is creeping 2 additional players to the line poised to blow up our play and physically hurt somebody. This isn't something that has just arisen in 1 game, but a problem in all 4 games.

So without throwing JG under the bus because he is a tough dude who has withstood the beatings and answered the bell after each knockdown, it is evident that we may need to see if Chryst's experience and survival instincts can yield better results vs GA. I'm not even sure JG is healthy enough to play next week.

There are so many things wrong that it just makes you shake your head. Why can't our OL fire off the ball like our opponents. They got stuffed for a safety at our goal line that amounted to a quick 9 point deficit. Our center scoots a ball to our backup QB resulting in another TO. Our #1 RB runs lateral on off tackle plays resulting in losses and a safety. Our best RB, and one of the few players on this team with some fire in his gut, is riding the pines until the 4th qtr. We have a couple of DBs that don't even try to tackle someone in open field or even slow them down. SMH. Sorry I used your post to vent, but I can't get it out of my head that our coaches and team allowed Fla to come to Neyland, not just to win big but to literally truck us physically most of the night.

Hell I would too if I could bull rush through this O-Line.

JG will be lucky to make it by the end of the season without a wheelchair.

He sure as hell deserves way better than his soft a** teammates.

I think its ironic he didnt play much yesterday because of his fumble last week, but he was one of the few that didnt turn it over or do something dumb this week.
