Florida better be ready for a fight

I don't see how any true Vol fans can be anything but optimistic.. Idk if I have just drank the Dooly-aid or what, but come on! I saw it before the season started, this Florida team is the most over rated team in the nation right now.. They have not shown anything but negative stuff all year... John Brantley is starting his first sec game, first away game, and his first rival game AT Neyland stadium, with a center who apparently isn't happy with the $$ in his contract cause he's playing like he doesn't want to be there... A receiver that won't even be on the field and Demps.. Which is gonna be held like Oregon was the first quarter, but all game...
Not to mention everyone needs to be drinkin the Poole-aid because Tauren Poole is going to break 200 yards this game, Matt Simms (who has really only made one bad mistake in 2 games) is gonna be 18-26 passing with 150+ yards.. Instead of everyone being so negative, try and be a little optimistic, and have some faith in our team!

Go Vols

Leaving in 22hrs to drive to Knoxville for the game!!!

I think the way to beat UF is to make them beat themselves. We need to have no major mistakes on offense or special teams. People are underestimating UF's defense in most of the threads I have read. It is true their offense isn't on Oregon's level but they have a better defense than Oregon. We need to make it where Simms doesn't beat us and kick away from their returners because our coverage teams blow.

Kinda funny...

“@ClayTravisBGID: The Florida Gators have T's in their urinals this week? They ought to have the Florida penal code instead. Better metaphor.”

Wouldn't that finally give us our home field advantage back?

I dunno. I got all excited to talk chit with you Vol's last year when you were all giddy you hired Kiffy. You guys thought you were "back" and this would be a rivalry again. I wouldn't expect anything less from you than backing your team and all that... But, even with Florida's offensive woes... We have more talent in our backups than you guys do on the whole team. I'm hoping for a good game. A good hard fought SEC game. Last years game was a really good game. But if your boys lay down again like last week.... It could get ugly early

If we don't play any better in the second half than we did against Oregon, Florida will definitely be in a fight. A fight with each other over who gets to score next.

Here's to hoping Fl is left wondering what happened to them and their championship dreams come the end of the game.

Florida may be a little overrated, and they may be having trouble on offense, but one thing they do have that no one else has, Urban Meyer. His reputation speaks for it's self. I hope we're ready, and IF DD can correct some of the mistakes made on Sat. by specific players, we should be competitive.

FYI - Tennessee is 7 of 30 on 3rd down conversion this year. That is good enough for 105th of 120 DIV1-A teams this year.

Not sure I would be too concerned if I was Florida - especially with that defense they have.

We will be lucky if we even smell the end zone, much less get in it.

Don't get me wrong - I hope we win and will be cheering, but I am fearful this might be another beat down - "red headed step-child style"....

Just my opinion though.

Here goes ESPN talking about Oregon. All of a sudden, because the quackers beat a "lower echelon" SEC team they are national title contenders...maybe they do think a little bit better of DD's squad, considering that they think we could challenge Florida.

Its called optimism. :cool2:

success or failure is sitting on Simms shoulders. we have to be able to pass, or this will be a repeat of last week. our defense is good enough to keep us in the game, but you can't win big boy ball being a one sided offense.
