if the spread is 50. Sure I would love to see them whip up on the Gators but that may not happen. Notice I even said may! The Vols are now, and will always be my football team. Come hell or high water I will be cheering for the Vols until the last tick off the clock and then some.
GO VOLS!:clapping:

Florida would destroy Oregon, demolish Alabama and play the New Orleans Saints to within a touchdown. Yes, we've heard.

No, Florida's going to get back handed by Alabama. I know Vols fans hate Florida, but teams like Oregon aren't elite. It's impossible to sustain success because they lack talent and depth in the trenches. What the Vols did in the first half would happen all game against teams like Florida because they wouldn't fade in the second half.

Ask any football coach in America where games are won and lost at, and they'll tell you it's on the offensive and defensive lines. Just so happens that's Oregon's weakest link.

Wow! I'm hearing the words of bandwagon fans in this thread. How can you say your a Vol fan or even wear orange an white and say things like "we shouldn't even show up" or "-15 is kind"? I bet you are the kind of people you won't be caught dead in a power T after a loss, shady!

i talked to a friend of mine who happens to be a gator fan and he predicted the final score would be

UF -3
UT -2

He said that a snap would go over brantley's head and our speedy D would tackle him in the end zone.

ha haha.. gotta love that the cocky gator nation is worried about this one.

Perfect, Oregon may have prepared us for the gators..

Yea it's like a slower oregon without the QB run threat... lol

They did try to look like Oregon last year anyways...

It's a bird, it's a plane, no it's a blue, winged gator...

I wore orange all day Sunday, but Jesus have you seen us? -15 is kind. There is a difference between being a fan and being mentally challenged.

once again 15 is a complement. The ducks only piled on when we gave up. We lacked resolve the second half. But there again we were beat by 31 and only a fifteen dog. There still afraid to count us out. Win or lose, like that. GBO!

How many points? 48-13

You forgot to add your definition of a "true fan".

No.

Like most fans, most of you don't know the first damn thing about football. I like Oregon, I'm a soon to be student, but they can't compete with teams of the SEC or of an elite cloth at all. Yeah, they were faster than Tennessee, they aren't faster than Florida. Every single athletic advantage they had against the Vols would be nullified, and then some.

What's amazing to me is that Vols fans themselves witnessed what happened when a team lines up and hits the Ducks in the mouth. They aren't big, talented, or strong enough, to dominate the trenches. Unlike Tennessee, Florida wouldn't gas in the second quarter, and has enough depth and talent to push the Ducks around for 4 quarters.

Wrong again. They are far better than florida it isnt close. They have outplayed florida by a mile this season. Florida would have been in two 4th qtr football games if the opposing coaches would have stuck to the game plan and not tried crazy stuff way too prematurely.

Yes I have. And ive seen Florida too. Although Florida has 2 blowout wins they have looked weak for much of those 2 football games. If Denarius Moore makes a 3rd down catch, or the ref doesnt call a ridiculous personal foul, or if james is buried in the backfield where he was first hit, o0r if sims doesnt throw the terrible out route that is a 60 minute battle. If youve watched these games and not looked at the final score youd know the gators are going to be in a fight a neyland stadium on saturday.

Far better because they beat New Mexico, and a struggling Tennessee team who's rebuilding and flat out doesn't have the horses to compete at a high level for 4 quarters?

As I said, the entire reason the Ducks ran away with the game is because Tennessee didn't have the horses on the offensive and defensive lines to sustain a high level of football for 4 quarters. That and Oregon was flat out more athletic. Wouldn't happen against a Florida, or a Texas, another team who's struggled thus far this season.

You must've missed this same Ducks team get beat by Ohio State in the Rose Bowl?

Same story, different year. Florida struggled at the beginning of 08, struggled all through 09, and are struggling now. Every year they manage to work out the kinks and go on a successful run.

Anyone who expected the Gators to come out firing on all cylinders as young as they are were having delusions of grandeur. The reason they'll beat Tennessee handily is the same reason they'd beat the Ducks, because they can rotate multiple players in and out of their offensive and defensive lines without much drop of, and dictate the game up front.

Those sound a lot like excuses....and I know Tennessee fans never make excuses.

Without Tebow....Florida's offense just looks lost...it looked rough alot of games last year too with him at the helm without Harvin to bail him out alot.

Without Spikes 'roid rage....Florida's defense doesn't look stellar either....their secondary has saved them so far.

Meyer has never played without Tebow at Florida until now....now he has to show it was the system he uses...not the QB he landed when he arrived at Florida.

If we're going to upset Florida....this is going to be our chance.....before they figure out their true identity....say what you want that's just my 2 :twocents: on it.

Meyer came to UF in 2005.

Tebow showed up a year later.
