Aw, F#$% it, next time, don't just throw the golf ball, use a wrist rocket. Maybe it will knock some sense into Kiffin.

It levels the playing field for a soft team like Ole Miss. It’s disrespectful to the game, unsportsmanlike and sleezy to act like you’re hurt just so you and your soft teammates can take a break.

There have been too many young men that have gotten injured on the field for Ole Miss to earn any respect from Saturday night.

It's not cheating. It's just cheap. And cowardly. They're just taking advantage of a flawed system.

It makes for boring football and the rules need changing.

We all know they flopped. Out of all those players not a single one cramped up DURING a play. Their cramps just magically hit them after we got any sort of momentum or first down. Or when we were getting in a groove with our fast uptempo.

If nothing gets changed then everyone is going to start doing it and games will now drag on an extra hour or even two hours. It's not good for football.
Like Lane Kiffin :)

I made a comment around halftime of game thread towards those blaming the outcome of players flopping. However, it was beyond comical during the second half as their players dropped to the ground every third play during each possession.

It was their defensive game plan.

The flops allowed the Ole Miss D to recover every drive as most of the time it was when we were going quick. It would have helped them too especially if they were even halfway conditioned. The flops weren't the only thing wrong with the game. I counted at least 3-4 times the refs got the spot wrong by 2-3 yards. At 8:26 in the first quarter they gave Ole Miss at least 2 yards and then there was the scoop and score which wasn't because the Refs seem to think the QB was wearing a non contact jersey.

It isn’t cheating per se, it’s a strategy.

Could they institute a rule to prevent the coaching staff from meeting with the non-injured players to discuss strategy during the injury timeout?

Or a rule where the only sub allowed is one for the injured player as long as the offense doesn’t sub?

it isn’t cheating, but certainly goes against the spirit of the game

Give every team a set number of "injuries" per game. Exceed that number and you are judged to be too injured to continue play and forfeit the game. Kinda like a TKO. If they are indeed legitimate injuries then it's probably for the best anyway.

I think if a player drops to the field due to injury, they must sit out equivalent to a quarters worth of time before they can reenter the game

Agree if the play is DELAYED and that player does not hop off the field quickly. That player should be only one subbed for and the Offense should be allowed one sub. That player needs to sit out at least a series if he is aided off the field and released by a team Dr. The team should be assessed a Timeout if they sub more than the presumed injured. I'm not sure this will get much action it is only happening to teams with super fast Offenses. If it happens to Alabama or Ohio State O that decides to go super fast tempo. Then you will see some changes by NCAA.

Can you imagine Ole Miss practicing flopping throughout the week? I bet that is the funniest thing. I would be embarrassed to play for that program.

Kiffin single handedly assured that the rules committee will have to make a new rule. I liked the one proposed by the announcers that a player could not return within the same series. Or they could just say that if you go out with an injury you have to sit for a minimum of 7 consecutive plays or maybe 5-10 minutes of game clock.
