I work in private aviation. The fact of the matter is that Currie had been flying around on donor planes "secretly." Now that he crapped the bed, they are putting him and possibly the new coach on the King Air......
Absolutely hilarious.
Ah understood my bad. I do love the airplane though and 111UT is the most beautiful in the type but I might be a tad biased though. 😬👍
I am not saying a 350i is crappy. But it is funny how Currie was traveling back and forth during our supposed "search" on a big heavy jet and now its back to the UT owned King Air.
After being in this industry for a few years, i have learned that if I ever hit it big (lotto), I would never purchase a jet. Horrible investment. However, some of the newer King Air 350 series are very nice and have just now been able to become wifi compatible. Perfect planes for golf trips!
Beat me to it. Nobody is punished for filing a flight plan. Its encouraged for many reasons and required for specific flight conditions.
Yeah I misunderstood your initial reason. Lears and Challengers and Gxs are status symbols for people making a statement. Beautiful but expensive to own and more so to operate. A King Air is a working mans plane. Beautiful , power to spare, efficient to operate (compared to a jet. Maybe not so much to a Caravan or Pilatus) and FAST en route.
Set up for landing and rollout all dirtied up they are simply a work of art.
NortDallas you sound like a man in love with airplanes. I too can appreciate the design of many planes. Im not a pilot or any kind of expert but do love some of the designs.

Additionally, as I was asked by someone who just texted me, even if you filed two flight plans, the issuing controller would ask which one you wanted. The controller would then delete the other. So you can't really "smoke screen" a flight plan or at least I'm not smart enough to know how. Of course I haven't filed my own flight plan in 20 plus years.

And just like that...
But who really knows. The noise seems to be a bit consistent, in a "let-me-post-my-scoop-now-so-I-can-say-I-told-you-so" kinda way at the moment. (Hmmm...I guess I did the same thing...oh brother....)
it's a four hour drive. I'd imagine Gundy is in Stillwater at the moment.
