'22 FL WR CJ Smith (Georgia commit)

I think just having Hooker in there with the wide receivers and working on timing and everything will help as well. The offense should get better IMO next year.

They also kept the playbook simplified because it was a new system for everyone. They will open things up more next year.

Someone started it with Basillio saying the coaches don’t like the talent at WR. Sure they did not tell him that. Someone said they would have played more. Just because they didn’t play more does not automatically mean they won’t be ready next year. We used to do it that way all the time. The seniors got the most work because they were ready. The more you get then the ball, the bigger their numbers, and then look what recruits see. And the coaches are recruiting better players at all positions not just WR.[/QUOTE

Basilio has a habit of saying BS like that. Someone may have told him the coaches don’t like their WR but in reality no coach is going to tell anybody that Basilio knows that. He says that to just generate conversation. Means nothing really except it’s not true. If Calloway and others had that feeling or was told that by Burns or Heupel they would have been in the portal a long time ago.

Uhh no thank you. Not unless you want him being tackled immediately as he gets touched.
Velus had 6 catches in 2019, 22 in 2020 and up to 52 in 2021. .Why don’t you root for Hyatt to succeed? It took Venus until his senior season to really excel. Why not let Hyatt have the same chance?

Velus would have succeeded in 2020 if they didn't wait until the last 3 games to throw him the ball.

Who’s not rooting for him? Seems like a good kid from a good family. I hope he does great but, you have to bring in talent at all positions then allow the cream to rise.

Florida just lost another kid lol.
