UF would have won in the 7th if their 3rd baseman hadn't made a somewhat boneheaded move. In a rundown, she dove to tag the girl and lost the ball when her glove hit the runner's leg. All she had to do was throw the ball home.

In one of the extra innings, UF got a gift call at 2nd base when the fielder missed the bag and still was credited with the out. It would have been 2 on with 1 out in a tied game.

I may be misinterpreting the rules, but I thought the final out of the game was also a bad call. She got her foot into 3rd base at least at the same time as the tag, if not before. The announcers thought she was called out for getting tagged after her foot fell off of the base. I know that normally it's an out when the runner's foot comes off of the bag, and there's another tag. But, it looked to me like she was pushed off of the bag by the 3rd baseman. The fielder had blocked the bag, and she slid her foot in between the fielder's legs. Then, the fielder basically fell on her, and her foot came off of the bag. I don't think that a fielder, intentionally or unintentionally, can push a runner off of a base to get a tag out. Maybe the umpire made a judgment call that it was more her own momentum than her being pushed.

Yep. And I got tired of hearing humpy Dumpty (florida's pitcher) yelling "up" anytime a Nebraska player hit a foul ball 20 rows up behind home plate. If I was her catcher I wouldn't even pay her no mind after about the 50th time she pulled that crap.

The 7th inning was wild--what a comeback by nebraska. I felt sorry for the espn announcers, who are doing a good job. They had to call four games--and then one of them goes 15 innings. Great game, though.

I don't think she ever got her foot to the bag. Her left knee jamming into the fielder clearly stopped her dead cold

She did. I rewound back my DVR and watched it frame by frame. She slid her foot in between the fielder's legs and reached the bag.
