I won’t say a bad thing about this kid. He’s handled everything with class and is just trying to make the right decision for himself. I hope that decision is Tennessee, but if it isn’t, I hope the kid has a great career. And if he feels unhappy at his eventual destination, I hope he gives Tennessee another look through the portal.
I didn't wish him ill. I did wish Ruiz, the big Miami booster, ill.I won’t say a bad thing about this kid. So it appears we have entered the "whether he picks us or not. . ." phase.
Exactly what I said on the last page. All this stuff from saturday to today is all building suspenseI think it’s significant that the family is no longer together. It was always going to be a family decision. That would lead me to believe decision was made Friday. All this last minute stuff smoke. Still sitting at 9/10 conference that Vols get a good one tomorrow.
Let him go if a couple of million isn’t enough unless we somehow gain another 2-3 million between now and December. We can’t spend half our remaining NIL allocation on 1 player. Especially when it’s a guy that’s likely going to play guard. If he doesn’t take the offer we give him and we can get Ramil amd Umarov and the guy that de-committed from Georgia we’d be better off using that money to lock up Bradley and Searcy/Osborne and maybe try to flip Justin Jefferson and lock down Jackson and/or Matthews with it. Because if Miami is going to give a QB not named Arch, Malachi, or Nico 9.5M they’re likely going to be able to outbid us on Mauigoa regardless of how much we offerI will be extremely disappointed if he picks Miami, but I'm not convinced he is. And if he does, we need to continue to work him until he actually signs a LOI. I do feel Spyre needs to make him a priority but have no idea if they will. Nico obviously wants him here. If Ruiz succeeds in buying him, I hope that man goes bankrupt.
Of course the could just call each other if Miami offered a bigger bag and talk again.I think it’s significant that the family is no longer together. It was always going to be a family decision. I’ll be honest Higgins got me skiddish on any major July 4th announcements. That was a huge kick to the nads.
hGotta love the posters saying he’s going to Miami when there’s no indication nor information coming from his family.
Cristobal has nothing to sell in Miami except throwing money around.
He’ll flop in the ACC.
